Porterfield was by all accounts streets better but other than a tv FA cup winning goal for Sunderland against Leeds I never saw him.

Scotty Sunderland bought Ian Porterfield to replace a certain Jim Baxter does that not say enough.Yes I was privilaged to see him play,but it is just a distant memory now.How's this for a left hand side of a Rovers team LB Chris Candlish LM Ian Porterfield LW Malky.I 'd have that any day of the week.
