i think this may work with the minimal fuss ,

as well as selling 50/50 tickets how about we sell raffel tickets for beat the goalie at half time

same price as 50/50 tickets , 10 raffel winners go onto the pitch ,

1 shot each until we have a winner.

small prises like 1st place , match day hospiality for 2 .

2nd , signed shirt,

3rd signed ball ..

If the winner likes the match day hospitality the will tell there friends and they might use the facility more creating more interest and cash for the club

all we need to do is sell raffel tickets along side 50/50 draw tickets .
no extra volenteers, fuss or hassel .. its worth as shot lol and good half time entertainment

disscuss Laughing Laughing Laughing

IMO that's a great idea wouldn't cost much to start up and would add some pretty good entertainment at half time.
How many kids will pester their dad for a ticket just to get on the pitch and how much fun to see some poser swagger up to the ball shoot and hit the corner flag. Laughing

i think this could work who do we speek to to get it orgonised ,,,

Could you imagin on a rainy day someone running up to take a shot slipping , missing the ball and falling on there a$!e

gets the kids and the big kids envolved

i think it was last season the ball boy slipped going for a loose ball on the wet pitch . Unfortunatly that was the most enertaining thing that happened in that game

Not wanting to be a killjoy here, but there is a time factor to be considered. If you are doing a raffle then it will take time to find the winners and you only have a 15 minute window.Might be better to reduce the winning kickers to three.Hope it works though as it would be good to watch especially on a slippy pitch. Wink

if the draw was made during the first half , that would save a bit of time ,
and then called out right at the end of the first half.

the idea is open to genaral ajustment and could be run along side the 50/50 draw . Idea Idea

lets hope thay take up the idea Smile Smile Smile

Think it's a good idea, perhaps making the draw to find the participants a home game in advance? Then the winners will be there the next game, ready to get on the pitch asap and will be wearing suitable footwear etc...

I would certainly buy a ticket each week, taking pens in front of a busy south stand would be quality!

maybe the last game of the season you could have all the winners back for a sudden death shoot out to find the ultimate champion too? Very Happy

I think the key to this is to keep it as simple as possible . no age restrictions . etc etc ... and no studs or football boots .it will add to the entertainment factor

but i do like the idea of a winners final at the the end of the season .

that way it keeps suporters cumming .

we will see if the club takes it on . I WONDER IF WE COULD GET SOME FORMER PLAYERS TO GO BETWEEN THE STICKS,,, ANY SUSGESTIONS

SINKY, SMESH MCCALPINE, UNDER 19'S KEEPER , DENNIS , MARV, ALL IN GOOD FUN

This is a great idea.

I missed my pen in the Live the Dream game (After scoring a top corner header and a lob likes Cool ) so would like to right that wrong.
Took pens in front of 6,500 at a Pars derby when I was younger and it was brilliant. Also took them at half time against Cowdenbeath versus a woman's team in front of around 4,000 around about the same time.
Someone shouted from the crowd when I was about to take mine, "Score this and I'll batter you after the game!"
I thought, "Aye right, I'll show you!" and tried to smash it in the top corner and then get it right up them.

Ball, meet crowd. At least I didnae get a kicking.

Anyway, hope it takes off. Wink
