fantastic day, great turnout which exceeded expectation (the place was mobbed by 3pm - not bad for a Sunday afternoon) and as usual the bands were tremendous - really into it and feedback from some of the bands has revealed that Rock the Rovers is the gig that bands in Fife want to be involved in
loads of pictures to follow once I get hold of them from fife's finest photographer

Apparently there is a rock the rovers style gig at OCEAN NIGHTCLUB [just across from harlem]this sunday i dont know how true that is though

Its good to get so much positive feedback from everyone about the gig last week i dont want any praise or anything as i dont do the gig for that.All i want is some of those who were [soundwave,zicoromaines and treetheman are the exception]to come on and say what they thought of this years line up and their performances etc etc.Thats all but so far not a lot and yes its not the only fundraiser but its a huge event for me as it takes a year to set up.THANKS

Just passed someone from my work who was at the gig, she said it was a fantastic day and the bands were brilliant, only gripe was the bar prices but nothing we can do about that
sonofwallace this is a forum for Rovers fans and if there's nothing to moan about then it's usually quite quiet, so take it as a compliment

I know as for bar prices i will speak to scott but like you said not much can be done as they are the normal prices in there and they didnt change it.cheers

We raised £6116.51 from last weeks gig so with the 5 charities receiving £2500 between them then the club will get the remainder prob at the end of september.I still have some t-shirts to sell aswell which at the last count was 9 but i can order more if need be so with that money and anything else to come in the total to raith will go up slightly.The t-shirts are on sale at HARLEM along with the cds so if your in for a pint buy a t-shirt or cd or BOTH

There was a Munrover there too helping...........
Anyhow, great gig as usual. Well organised and hosted. Some of the local bands are very under rated but a lot of the members of the bands say the Fife music scene is utter rubbish, as the majority of clubs and pubs aren't interested in the local scene. That is bad crack. Glad that Rock The Rovers is here to showcase these guys though, as there is a lot of very good bands here.
