I have retuned all the TVs in the house, but some channels are pixilated. Shocked

Is this a temporary thing? Confused

Or is it just me? Crying or Very sad

I have two similar freeview boxes.

one I retuned 'all' progs, the other only 'freeview'

on the 'all' box I get the full range of channels OK but when I go beyond the usual I get the pixilated versions also.

On the 'freeview' only box I get the usual channels OK and do not see the other ones.

It could just be coincidence of course.

My 'All' box is connected to an aerial that points south west (of Glenrothes) and the other box uses an indoor aerial pointing North.

Its likely that you're receiving signals from two different freeview transmitters. The closest that we all should be using CraigKelly, which is the giant one just outside Burntisland.

The north one is likely to be Angus, which is north of Dundee area. With this changeover just happening, which BTW, is to free up room for HD services on Freeview (no one has an HD ready box yet) its likely to be settling. Service should be resumed shortly.

If you want to check your predicted signal reception and strength, or get more info, click below.

I can see the mast from my house, but no, my tv picks up the transmitter up by Aberdeen Shocked and because of this my signal depends on the weather between here and Aberdeen Shocked and no amount of retuning helps Sad

try manually retuning your equipment and search the specific frequencies

for Angus try : 57,63,60,53

craigkelly : 31,27,24,21,48

I meant channels not frequencies on the last post.

You could also try an automatic retune with the aeriel out to clear the info then a 2nd retune starting with the aeriel out but putting it in about 45% of the way through the scan , that will stop the equipment picking up anything from the aberdeen channels but should allow you to pick up from Angus Cool
