I worked with his old man (very proud of his son) and although he was biased he had a good opinion of him as a defender. Let’s hope he keeps his dad, and all Rovers fans, happy

Not familiar with Keith Watson but sounds like the player we have been asking for. Welcome to SP.

Hmmm, not sure.
Assume those in the know have studied his physical stats and have decided he is only worth a year at his age. Will be looking for another 2 defenders, around 10 years younger, to join the squad and learn from and support him
I appreciate players who look after themselves can have longer careers these days, but this just does not fit the young hungry player profile previously mooted.

No, it fits IM’s stated objective of an experienced CB to help stiffen the defence and add leadership.

Leadership, organisational skills and experience, exactly what we need back there.

Strong in the air, physical presence, experienced and a good organiser. Sound remarkably like Berra was.

He left because (allegedly) IM wanted to play a high line and Berra (like Watson) hadn't the pace.
Murray needs to suss what his priorities are here.

Seems a shrewd signing and another big step in the right direction!

Welcome to the Rovers Keith!
