At the half, the results are about where we want them, with only a missing Arbroath goal for perfection.

Well that didn’t last…Arbroath’s draw, Cove’s loss and the Accies humping certainly make us look more secure next year, but Morton and Queen’s Park getting 3 plus Dundee, Partick and ICT with one is all suboptimal. 2 through 5 all have a game in hand and a 2 to 10 point lead on us, plus a decent GD advantage.

We’ve done enough to finish 5-8 this season, it’s up to everyone if that’s acceptable to them.

Should be a decent Championship next year, assuming (pretty safely) that we’ll still be in it. Pars and/or Falkirk, Dundee United - and possibly also Dundee - along with the likes of Partick, Inverness and maybe Kilmarnock, Motherwell or Ross County. Tough league in the making but lots of big games.

It's not beyond the possibility that we could still sneak into the play offs, those teams above us all have a game in hand all against each other.......... if we could find the back of the net and start getting 3 points , a pretty big IF but it's still in our own hands for the run in

Certainly possible to get into play-offs but much less likely that we’d get promoted on the back of doing that. You never know, though, especially if we were to get something approaching a fully fit squad.

I think promotion is a pipedream for a wee while yet, but the extra cash for making the play offs would be very welcome

That’s a very good point…possible Championship next year of:

Ayr
Dundee United
Dunfermline
Falkirk
Hamilton
ICT
Morton
Motherwell
Partick
Raith

Certainly would significantly improve the average gates, and the playoff team would likely be a favorite for promotion.

If these are to be the clubs then I hope sincerely that the league table at the end of the season doesn't end up like that!😉

The perils of alphabetical ordering…exactly why I hated it in school too!

10games to go and running out of time... we are on 35pts and if we are to make playoffs then we will likely need around the mid 50 mark. In recent seasons as low as 51/52 has made fourth place, others over 60 needed. As this season is really tight in general, it will surely be the bottom end but we need to start registering wins before the games run out on us...

I think it'll be a relatively low points tally that secures the title and playoff places this season.
Everyone has lost at least 7 games so far, with more than a quarter of the season to go.
When we won this league in 94/95, the first season of three points for a win, we only lost 5 games out of 36 in a league that contained a strong Dunfermline, Dundee, Airdrie and St Johnstone.
And our 69 point winning tally was far from the highest it's been since.

Ayr giving Morton a hard time at start of the second half. Leading 3-1 so far at Cappielow.
Pars and Falkirk 0-0 at HT in the big one in league 1 title battle.
