Aye. Sad news indeed Vinnie, I have just heard IM's pre match interview where he announced it.

This young man however has a VERY bright future at the top level in football.

I would just like to thank him for his extraordinary contribution to the Rovers, and wish him all the best for his evident exciting future.

…right now. Return later is possible (but, I suspect, unlikely).

Very confident that the great majority of Raith fans will be very disappointed that Connor has left us. He had a definite presence at the back , composed and good at distribution. With his height , useful in the air too, at both ends of the pitch.
I 'll follow his future career with interest.

A huge blow for the team. He never looked flustered and appeared very composed for someone so young. It makes a change to have a loan player that we want to keep as, apart from Poplatnik, i can't think of a loan signing from the past two years that i would have back. Most were brutal.

To make matters worse for them, their centre half got a red card during the game.

Handy, as they play that day. I would have been amazed if they would have even considered allowing him to make the squad (if allowed) on the night he returned to the club. Even one practice session will be huge to help him work into the team…

Edited to add: Their CB that was red carded is going to miss the next three matches…Conor is likely getting tossed in the deep end, bet he’ll shine.

Very bad news, with Mathews effectively out for the season and our (other) best players up for sale (if that is not just a veiled threat to get more money coming in).

We will take a gubbing or three, in January at least, that's a given!

Looks like Young and Masson will likely get some time, maybe we’re taking a look to decide if we offer them contracts, as they are both only signed until May.

O’Riordan neither starting nor on the bench vs Tranmere. Perhaps bodes well for a return in late January.

None scored by Crewe either…BBC described a “distinct lack of quality” in front of goal in the 0-0 match. Conner at RCB the whole game.

Crewe manager speaks very highly of him post match.

Doesn’t sound like there is any chance of him returning here, wish him well in the future…
