Given the BBC's fetish for Auchinleck, I wouldn't be surprised if this was moved for the telly.

If it does go ahead on the Saturday, it should attract a half decent crowd.
I'd reckon they'll bring four or five hundred through.

The fetish for Talbot revolves around the whole "giant killing" thing the BBC seem to have whenever Auchinleck, the ex-Junior giants of Ayrshire, are drawn against any of the senior league clubs. They just can't seem to get enough of them.
Whit? Was that West coast bias I hear you say?
Dinnae be silly. It disnae exist.
Or so we are continuously told.🤔
TV cameras incoming.

I'd imagine it'll be either our game or Accies v East Kilbride that gets chosen for TV coverage. Hopefully we get the nod.

Won't there be two televised games - same as this round?
One on the Friday night and one on the Monday night?

Given that the TV money for this round is £3500 for each team featured, you wouldn't have to lose too many off the gate for the club to end up out of pocket.

Think it would depend on the day. Monday night would effect the crowd more than a Friday night match. With the gate being split I reckon it would need to take 500 off the attendance for it to make a difference. In the meantime our main sponsor and possible financial investor gets eyeballs across the nation on their establishment. Might encourage further investment?

As long as we keep the high balls to minimum the camera won't need to pan up high enough to catch the former sponsors name on the top of the stand.

Might depend on World Cup coverage on TV.

Pleasing that the odious Kirk Broadfoot was responsible for conceding the 92nd minute penalty that saw Broomhill papped out the cup.

Notice that Montrose are on the end of a proper home horsing from Darvel. 4-1 down at the 60 minutes mark 😲
Result as expected 13 miles up the road at the Harmsworth Park. Would have been a massive shock if it had been even close in the scoreline.
Playing down the slope with the wind behind plus the Academy not having the legs for ninety minutes against a full time team saw the Bairns in easy street.
Will we be drawn against them in the next round?
Could be intriguing if so.

Probably get away to University of Stirling…just saying, or Darvel.
