Mair points please for me as McInally packs it in up in Peterheid after eleven years.
A resignation. Not a sacking.
In your own time as always!👍🙂 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I know Rodger Morrison Personally. Very unlikely that Jim McInally's departure would be anything other than amicable and JM's own choice.
Very unusual for a manager and a club to stick together for so long these days. Refreshing in the day-and-age of knee-jerk sackings to appease baying fans - not least at Aberdeen FC! That and managers quitting contracts at crucial times for thier clubs - for moves they think will better their own careers.
I remember when Jim McInally was joint Rovers manager, along with the late Jimmy Thomson. |

I wasn't aware that Jimmy thomson had passed, when was this?
Was Mcinally not caretaker joint manager with Stevie Kirk? |

I thought Jimmy Thomson was still with us as well.
There's a Wiki page on a Jimmy Thomson which seems to have completely mixed up our ex manager with a former Pars player and basically has them as one and the same person. _________________ Dougie Hill

Ah I think that was the page I got it from - some time back. The page mentions him as replacing Jimmy Nicholl as Raith manager. Apologies for any confusion - and I hope that our former manager is alive and well! Pretty sure he and McInally were there at the same time for a while. Could be wrong - the memory is getting hazy! |

Public health warning!
Totally useless pub quiz info incoming!
I have a vague memory of the Pars Jimmy Thomson being a painter and decorator in Culross. He worked with a family friend whose business it was. Interestingly, the friend's wife was a native St Kildan having been evacuated in 1930 with her sister and mother. Some of the St Kildans came to Fife to work with the Forestry Commission at Devilla Forest. Ideal work for folk who had never seen a tree standing or growing in real life, unless they'd been off the island at some point in their life!
More importantly are we ever likely to be getting points for the successful picks of recent managerial changes in recent weeks past? _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I think this is the first season I haven't selected The Rangers' manager in their entire ten year history.
