Agree that the club should (very quickly) look to extend the manager's contract. That said, if a club did come in for him, the compensation would be a tiny amount, compared to that for a player. |

Tbh I can't see murray going anywhere I don't think he would take that chance just yet he's just gotten a job in the championship it'd be a risk to go up another level too soon he has a rep to build what better way to do that than to take a team like raith into the play off and maybe even promotion _________________ Murray |

I agree. For me it's very early doors just now and we have done very well over the last couple of weeks but this is football and this is Raith Rovers, so this could quite easy all come crashing down over the next few weeks.
Let's just keep going as we are just now and see where this takes us. In any case, managers contracts are not worth a great deal. If a manager wants away they normally get away. |

If he (Murray) manages to get us a top 4 finish or even the holy grail of promotion, he'll attract attention from bigger teams and remember he will only have 1 year left on his contract by then.
It wouldn't be the first time we've lost a manager for little to no financial compensation, I'd certainly look at his contract some time before the seasons end if we're in contention |

He's not Wee Ray the Job Hopper, but still, he may not eat, sleep and breath Raith Rovers to the same extent that Jimmy Nicholl and John McGlynn did - yet. (Mickey Cameron will!) We can only hope that IM does well, gets promotion at some stage and that an evolved, meaner, leaner Raith Rovers side becomes "his baby" too! That could happen! |
