I think if we get to the hour mark and still 0-0 or worse, he will be on

Lewis just got a nice mention and best wishes from Jeff on Soccer Saturday.

He's a good Rovers man that Jeff Stelling!

Last 5 minutes, as expected…and less than a yard away from a goal anyway.

Matthew Elder ran a similar story in the Scotsman (including online), a week past Saturday. He probably picked up on it first through his former FFP/ Raith connection.
A story well worth the retelling ,although the Herald reporter got at least one fact slightly wrong .
Every game I'm just willing LV to score, like most Rovers fans. It will come. Don't miss out on seeing it !

One small goal for a man, one massive goal for Rovers-kind! Very Happy Wink Maybe not his best goal ever, but still significant for Lewie and the supporters. It is also the goal that led to us getting into the next round, wherever that may lead. Well done Lewie for hanging in there! We hope it will turn out to be the first of many for you and the club!

Just watched the highlights and Lewie's goal. The whole move/build up was probably the best bit of football played by either side in the entire game. And how did he out jump that big "defender"?

Have you seen him? Lang was more mobile and agile than him the day after he'd done his cruciate ligaments

The word legend gets used, often cheaply, to describe a player.
Not so regarding Lewis.
He is currently a club legend, and woven into the club's history, and will continue to be so, long after he retires from playing the game.
Having come through all the injuries and uncertainties to come back and keep scoring goals and contributing to the squad speaks volumes about the guy.
His post match interview is a wonderful little insight into his status within the club and with fans.
Few players stay with the one club these days to be accorded a testimonial. Unquestionably richly deserved for Lewis.

I totally agree embow.

The respect and support shown by the club has been fantastic, in return, Lewis has reciprocated this in loyalty and affection for club and fans.

A gentleman and ledgend.

Who knows how far he may have gone if he didn’t suffer those horrendous injuries. The club were very loyal to him during those times and he has repaid them
