As far as I can recall, I have only ever started one match thread, and we won that game, I don't usually like to push my luck with these things, but wouldn't it be great to go up there and get a league win for a change.
I have no doubt we are capable of doing it, just need to avoid the usual discussions of our record up there with the players and let them do their thing.

It would be great RZ, and there is no reason why we can’t. COYR |

After two years of COVID and the need for a new hip, now replaced back at the end of April, I was so looking forward to travelling down for this. Unfortunately the funeral of a dear friend is scheduled for 11am Saturday and it's something I have to attend. Can but only wish the team well and hope that it can overturn the horrendous hoodoo we have in the league in Inverness.
I remember being at the Friday evening game decades ago with aforementioned friend. Played on the Friday evening as Scotland played Belgium on the Saturday in a World Cup/European qualifier at Hampden. The current ICT gaffer Billy Dodds scored for Scotland iirc.
Happy memories of a lovely weekend in 'Sneckie.☺️ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Condolences Embow.
If Inverness can lose (deservedly according to reports) at home to Hamilton Accies then we shouldn’t be at all fearful!
We need to find a consistency along with that tiny wee bit that’s missing to turn the losses into something..
If you look back on the season, sure, we haven’t been great too often but at the same time, we have been right in each game we have lost right til the final whistle (Cove on 1st weekend being the exception)
Dundee…bossed 2nd half and deserved a point
Thistle…2nd best for most part but two glaring chances at end to nick a point
ICT… 2-0 massively flattered them, another story of missed chances at 0-0.
Queens Pk and Morton…I wasn’t at either of these but may I suggest both tight encounters with little between sides on the day except the score line?
The standard of league this season isn’t good in comparison to recent years, looks unlikely any side is going to run away with it so plenty to play for! |

By all accounts Accies were the better team on the night.
Caley Thistle have a big injury list right now and added another to the list during the warm up on Tuesday evening.
You'd like to think now might be a good time to try to get one over them.
But fitba' being fitba'.......🤫 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

With The Hammer out, what will IM decide re the striking positions?
If I understood his interview correctly ,Big John started on Wednesday because Kyle
Connell was a doubt and put on the bench. Therefore, despite his inability to convert
glorious chances at Gayfield , it seems most likely that Kyle will lead the line against
ICT. At least he was in position to miss the opportunities. No doubt, IM and CC will
have been working with him on clinical finishing strategies.
We all hope that Big John is simply rusty and needing to build up his fitness.
(Incidentally, Tx, I couldn't find Big John's ''but for a toe'' incident. At what time did
it appear in the Highlights ?)
Elsewhere, the defence seems settled (although tough on Nolan, who was fine before
his illness).
I'd like to see Rossco start but can't see who would be dropped. Dylan Easton seems the
least secure of his place, but he and Rossco are very different players. Because of the sapping
nature of Wednesday's fixture , I do expect Matthews to make an appearance from the bench,
possibly about the hour mark.
Will we win? It's ICT , so I'm offering no prediction! |

The upside of this team is their youth and the long stretch of winless games isn’t down to them.
Hopefully they will have the positive mental attitude and just get stuck in.
It is a long journey up, might this have anything to do with it.
Pitch is a decent size, the wind can be a problem however but it’s the same for both teams.
We have travelled up and stayed on quite a few occasions but cannae mind the last time we came home with a smile on our faces.
We are generally playing good football as long as we keep it on the deck, this is where our squads strengths lie.
Our general play so far the season has not been reflected by the points gained.
About time our luck changed and we have the rub of the green.
I’m optimistic.........dunno whether that’s good or bad but the terrible run of results in this fixture gotta come to a grinding halt at some time.
Anyone know if other teams have similar poor records against the Caly _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

I looked it up, 3:12…but I now see it looks like the weight on the breakout pass was too light (or the howling gales of Gayfield defeated the attempt) rather than an Arbroath toe. Either way, Big John was set to be in alone behind the defence. |

I'd like to see Coulson get a run out as striker, he cant be any worse than what's been tried so far
As for the game itself we have to score to give us a chance of at least the draw |

I really wish we had Mitchell available…but Coulson, or even Mahady, should get a chance with what we have. |

Would imagine same team from Arbroath with Connell in for Fredriksen.
No justification for changing anything else.
Inverness is a nice big pitch so hopefully we can open out more than the tight parks of Cappielow and Gayfield. |
