Last Saturday RTV stated they could not give a live commentary on the Cove game because BBC were covering it as a live radio commentary. I tuned into Radio Scotland Sportsound and could not find the live commentary anywhere. The programme covered the previous Scotland International and occasionally went round the grounds for a score update. Can anyone with connections at RTV explain why BBC stopped them covering this match with an audio stream please?

This is not a criticism of RTV Guys, I simply want to understand what changed and why the BBC did not have a live commentary on Sportsound?

RaithTV did not say that was the reason. There wasn’t volunteer availability to do the commentary for a number of other reasons.

EDIT: I believe a message went out saying there was to be BBC comms as that was what we were led to believe, BBC may have changed their minds… but it wasn’t related to why RaithTV didn’t cover the game.
