…rising, so even with the LED floods, would a kickoff time move to 1PM be reasonable? It would also allow Raith TV to offer more video streams…just thinking out load. |

True enough, but not being present in the UK for donkey’s years, how would moving kick-offs up by two hours play? |

Probably not make too much difference as it will soon be getting dark earlier and also when the weather worsens, dark clouds, rain etc we will need floodlights to see the match.
Is the season pausing for the World Cup? If so, that will reduce floodlight costs |

I am of an age that started watching and supporting the Rovers pre- floodlights when the kick offs pretty much country wide were at 2pm GMT. (ie end October to end March)
From what I can remember from away back then, even in the Christmas/New year period around the shortest daylight time games finished in daylight (3.30ish) albeit getting dark quickly thereafter.
Tx's suggestion isn't as odd as you might think.
Makes economic sense given the upcoming hikes in fuel, electricity and other costs across the whole spectrum. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Of course, no one in the UK will buy a stream as the electrical cost to run the TV would be prohibitive! |

I'd imagine that 1pm kick offs will reduce hospitality revenue - I can't see there being a big demand for a 3 course lunch at 11am.
It would also probably affect takings in the 200 club over the course of the day, it would mean scrapping some of the community football groups on a Saturday morning and it would be prohibitive for people who work on a Saturday morning and finish at lunchtime. _________________ Dougie Hill

I agree with all you say Embow.
However, do we really think the Blazers across in the West would even contemplate such a decision? Naw. That would take a modicum of brain power which is sadly lacking in that outfit.
Even if they could come up with some sort of plan, because of the way football's lily livered chairmen allow the anarchic voting system to continue, it would end up being decided by the Rangers or Celtic vote!
Makes ye sick Aaaaaaaaargh.
Sorry posters. Have I taken that just a bit too far? |

Nah! We wouldn't reduce numbers there. We can't sell it as it is so what's to lose? _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Vaughan 7, Stanton 6, Akio 3, Brown 3, Dick 3, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2 ,McGill 2,OG 2, Frederiksen 1, Lang 1, Nolan 1, |

Since there seems little demand anyway, perhaps a lighter lunch fare menu…cheaper to cater and allowing several local restaurants to provide menus…might be more popular, if a little less lucrative. Just saying… |

I think there are a few issues at play at SP, mostly a regime with ZERO marketing skills and a certain individual hell bent on outsourcing as much as she can.
Advertising has already supposedly already gone out to an Edinburgh company, if she gets her way Raith Tv will go to the same company that does Hearts Tv for £4.99/month or £59.99/year (and takes 40%). Outside catering for is already done but wouldn't be surprised if it was to be taken away from a local firm and given to another friend in Edinburgh, consommé and salads for everyone. All of this from allegedly the clubs 2nd highest wage earner after Goodwillie? Nice work if you can blag it! The only thing running well at SP is the gravy train.... at least for some.
Aren't we due an AGM????? _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Vaughan 7, Stanton 6, Akio 3, Brown 3, Dick 3, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2 ,McGill 2,OG 2, Frederiksen 1, Lang 1, Nolan 1, |
