Much more importantly is the quality of player inhabiting said strip.
This one is definitely retro, especially around the neck and sleeves with the red and white bands.
Exactly the same as that of the early 1960's when worn by folk like Dennis Mochan, Willie Wallace, Bobby Stein, Willie Polland et al.🙂 |
I'm with you on this one Embow. More important is who's wearing it, and how he's playing?
I know it is commercially important for the club to continually change strips, but I can't remember if we did this annually back in the day? My Favourite strip was the white Jersey with the two horizontal blue hoops. My albeit old and frail powers of recollection is, we played with this for several seasons. I may of course be wrong. Maybe one of you older posters with far better memory than I, can put me right? |
This may be helpful.

Thank you for the link. Very interesting and it was nice to see the “white with blue hoops” which was when I started going in 64/65 season. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Thanks for this Wolfy. What an interesting link.
So we wore the white shirt with the two blue blue hoops from 1963 until 1971. Problem solved!
It would appear my memory is not as bad as I, and others, thought.
I'm off for another Dram now because it appears I'm not after all Doolal.
Well done Wolfy. Someone take that man's name! |

Personally think the kit is an absolute cracker. Love the red, reminds of the 90's Kelly's Copier kit and the red/white/blue bar scarfs - both of which take me right back to watching the Rovers as a young bairn. |

VERY much in the HR camp...........white with the two blue hoops absolutely the best ever. Same (or a modern reincarnation) would even tempt me to invest in a shirt despite well past my 3 score plus ten _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

We can confirm that the club shop has been re-stocked and will be open ahead of tonight’s game against Queen of the South.
Yes, the BRAND NEW home top will be in stock! _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Is anyone like me still waiting on their season ticket, I went to order one as soon as they were advertised and am still waiting. What's causing the delay? |

Probably waiting on delivery/stock of this years cards. No idea why they're not reusable and each year is loaded into them for access |

Local youth club was donated 24 youth season tickets on Monday evening and new cards were handed out. So possibly wont be waiting much longer.

On the subject of tickets (loosely). First off, well done on passing 1200 tickets, secondly, any idea why our social media for the Peterhead game is so disjointed?
Facebook has a post about tickets being on sale, Twitter or the main site has nothing advertising the game.
Additionally, can we drop the gif version of the team lineups? No need for it. What problem were we trying to solve with this feature? |
