Didn’t want to be over critical - but you are absolutely correct - really poor from Scotland but excellent from Ukraine

He's ex Hearts.
They sold him to some Italian team with a sell on clause.

I was speaking to a Jambo yesterday who reckons he'll be sold for £25-30m this summer and Hearts will cop 15%.

I'm not quite so certain.

Thanks SG - do you think our players would benefit from being together for a month or so - they might actually recognise each other as playing for the same team!!

Apparently they've been out of the country along with others in the national squad training and playing friendly matches on a regular basis in Turkey. And have been for a wee while.
Don't know how fit they'll be but they are all together as a group, and will be, right up to the game. All the bonding, especially in the horrendous circumstances for Ukrainians is maybe likely to help hone their not inconsiderable skills which are usually pretty decent at the best of times.

Says it all!
And greatly helped by an insipid and inept Scotland.
Normal service resumed from the national team after a wee flutter of expectation and excitement leading up to this game.

3-1 in no way flattered Ukraine.
Probably should and maybe could have been a few more.
The mantle of the most hated team in the world now passes to Wales!
Good luck to the Ukrainian team and all those suffering so horrendously back home.

Awful team selection and awful set up / tactics.

Even worse no attempt to change until it was well too late.

That was a managerial horror show from Clarke.

Ukraine were absolutely superb, Scotland were equally terrible. Genuinely could and should have been 5 or 6.

In the grand scheme of things, can't make any decent argument to suggest Clarke has taken Scotland forward in any reasonable capacity. Even qualification for the Euros was via a back door to an extended tournament.

Ach well, club before country every time.

Hopefully this might mean less disruption to the domestic schedule with the world cup landing in the middle of our season.

Wasn't going to cause disruption to the lower leagues anyway. At least it means some Raith fans won't neglect going to Starks so they can watch Scotland.

For 90 minutes my genuine concern and sorrow for what is happening to Ukraine went oot the windae. Dunno why I bothered.

Hope they now go on to beat Wales, and then win their group at the WC! Skelping England on the way.
