I think this is a good appointment, even if two years late in my opinion |

A good interview with Davie Hancock.
Full of possible promise and works six days a week.
Big emphasis on fitness.
Only time will tell now. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I am happy with that - and very relieved that we did not get some of the more worrying names suggested.
Good luck and welcome to the Rovers Ian! |

Keep us clear of the relegation dogfight this season and don't have us bowing out of the cups to lower league opposition and I'll be satisfied. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Just watched the interview.
I am a born cynic, however, I liked what I heard.
Particularly the high press and the required fitness levels to achieve that aim.
I remember seeing him in his first job at Dumbarton and thinking even then that he looked hungry and demanding, shouting and cajoling his players along with encouragement.
I think , in my book anyway, that he is the young and up and coming type as opposed to just somebody on the “ merry go round”
Coaching/ managing can be a gamble.
He comes over as being astute and knowing how to get the best out of a team as well as NOT one who simply plays his favourites.
I think he will shake up the squad and players are really going to have to REALLY WORK for their place in the team.
Me hopes my assertions are on the money .
I wish him well, we are nothing if not fickle. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Welcome to the Rovers Ian. I am positive that we will all get behind you and your team. Got to say that he was my first choice as manager, and big plaudits to the BOD for appointing a forward thinking experienced young manager. Bring on next season and maybe Falkirk in the cup. |
