Whatever they are going to do it has to be soon, we have to be looking at resigning players and looking at signing others now, this uncertainty is not good going forward _________________ We dont need no stinking badges |

This is only how it appears to the fans, the manager and board will have a clearer view on the matter, fans don't have any entitlement to know every discussion that goes on behind closed doors at Starks Park. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Never asked to know every discussion that goes on??, but there is uncertainty with the manager, resignings and new signings, other clubs with managers are making moves, I hope were not left behind, the manager himself has said he hasn't been offered a new contract and that to me creates uncertainty with new and current players, but we'll see how it pans out I suppose.
One thing I would like is that if JMcG is leaving we know about it before Friday to give him a send off but I don't suppose were allowed to know that either _________________ We dont need no stinking badges |

You just need to read the sports pages, there are going to be a lot of jobs coming up in the summer, both sides of the border, I should think with McGlynns qualifications and experience he might think he has taken the club as far as he can and wants to spread his net wider.
Not sure if Smudger would move too far so perhaps a chance for him to step up with Berra as his #2 _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Not a bad shout - if it came down to it. Please though, not Berra on his own! Think back to Gordon Dalziel and Peter Hetherston - and they were Rovers legends! |

From the end of his Pre-match interview, it sounds as if JMcG expects to be at SP next season, does it not?🤔 |

The longer we hear nothing, the more likely I expect him to sign a new contract.
While I think a change is the way forward, I wouldn’t lose any sleep by us retaining McGlynn, especially as the new season in terms of playing squad has to start around now. |

I want McGlynn to stay. Primary because I don’t think we can get anyone better. He’s been the best and most consistent manager in a long while (both spells) and who could we get in that would be better?
He’s signed most of the team for next season already too and many of them wouldn’t have signed had he not been the coach. Also, it certainly didn’t seem as if the majority of fans wanted him to go after tonight’s game either.
We’re lucky to have him and we could do far far worse. _________________ RIP RONNIE |

A dont get this keeping a manager because they dont think we can get anyone better. How do you know that?
Lets be honest, football is a results based business and 3 wins in 16 or whatever it is would see most managers gone, some on even less stats
Dont think the reception from South Stand is anything to go by as one of the worst home attendances season as expected _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Well put vinnie.
IF pop had been playing up front from the outset it could all have been different.
Only JM knows why he refused to give pop more than a FEW minutes here and there.
Mibbeez he was trying to be loyal to his signed players, that however doesn’t wash with me.
Pop should have been started and then the other strikers would have to chase pop down to get their chance.
Results are what matter and keeping players on their toes is a necessary tactic. Nobody should own a shirt.
I don’t believe JM is the ruthless type and I believe a manager needs a bit of that in their character.
Nice blokes don’t always win. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Just watched the post match interview, I'm more convinced now that McGlynn is away. There was no talk of building a squad in the close season and the expected 'see you next season' didn't emerge either. _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

It was totally non committal either way but he wasnt really asked a direct question regarding his future.
As good as Raith TV is one of their short comings is they never ask the obvious difficult questions which are clearly scripted to suit the club narrative.
Surely it was perfectly legitimate to ask Mcglynn after him thanking the fans if he had a message for them regarding his own future and plans for next season even if the answer was it's still under discussion.
Instead we are left joining the dots - pretty poor from both sides. |

Personally, my feelings are that there is a really solid foundation for someone to come in with a view to take us to that next level. Those candidates are thin on the ground, certainly those within our reach. Craig Levein is one of the few names that springs to mind.
I'd much, much rather week keep Mcglynn than take a stab in the dark on a rookie though.
That said, please let someone else sign strikers. |
