We could be battling Hamilton for 6th/7th at this rate

More post match interview spin from McGlynn no doubt.
One win in 16 games. Other managers have been sacked for less.
If not now, should be gone at the end of the season.
Interesting dilemma for the CEO.

Until it's mathematically impossible to get fourth place, most probably next week, then the managerial team will still be at the club.
If by any vague chance we win then they will still get to the second last game in the hope Partick lose their one.
In reality the most likely outcome is that contracts won't be renewed at the season's end and a mutual parting of the ways will mean no severance payout either.

Only on a personal level. The CEO is not part of the footballing side, I'm sure. The decision is the footballing board, but I can't imagine any decision wouldn't have ramifications regardless.

On the game, we were poor, didn't create anything clear cut, hit the bar from half chances and little else. Stanton was a bystander for most of it and Spencer looked very disinterested at times. We had 3 at the back with Spencer dropping in to get the ball and launched it long whenever possible leaving him out of position completely. The game plan was a total mystery and we didn't really look like we had an idea of what to do. Morton weren't great either, their whole team are just cloggers happy to head anything all the time and we played into their hands.

Just feels like a team wishing the season would end now and they could go find new clubs for next season. 1 league win in 16 games is awful, we're in a league of mediocre sides and we're becoming the worst of them. The good thing is the standard of opposition will likely be no better next season regardless of who comes up and down

Honestly don't think we deserved to lose that game today, but the fatal wound was struck on Wednesday.
Can't believe we made three subs in the space of four minutes, when none of them appeared to be injured.
Surely you make at least one double sub, so if someone gets injured later in the game, you have the option of bringing Arnott on, whereas we deprived ourselves that opportunity.
Crackers.

There was one positive from today's match, which was the performance of Greig Young.
If JMcG and Smudger are to go, I hope that we can replace them with a management team who have the
same attitude to encouraging young players.

Ah well. First half started to play a little better toward end of half but from a very low standard. Both teams were poor an probably both should finish mid table. Thought Pop had at least 2 clear opportunities where he should have scored. No player looked interested. Maybe an undercurrent at club for whatever reason - maybe the obvious one - but not certain where rovers go from here - mid table and the challenge cup. Not terrible really but would have liked to win again. Agree that Young played well and maybe Frankie but the rest - nah.

Terrible tactics playing 3 CBs at home and 2 FBs, no wonder we didn't win. McGlynn is clutching at straws and his team selection today was yet another aberration.
Anyone who paid £5 to watch that must be thinking they could have spent their money more wisely.
Sorry to say, but the time for a clear out has long passed, both management and playing squad.
Bene would do well to get a game at Lochee Utd, Connolly more comfortable at Albion Rovers rather than our Rovers, can't wait for the loanees to go back, they have offered nothing bar Matej in glimpses.
Berra will (should) probably retire after picking up another injury. Zanatta needs the right manager and can't seem to find him. Dick is inadequate at this level.
Spencer is a stand out as is Young, Musonda and McKay, Rosco still a young player but huge potential if he can calm down.
The one I'm not sure of is Tumilty, great player on his day but I just feel having his beard trimmed right is more important.
Recruitment has been just awful this season, given all the players McGlyyn apparently gets offered, his choices have been woeful. Paying Vaughan, Keatings BRS FT wages for what, not to mention DG? Mahoosive question marks.
Today was an abject lesson in how this league is played and those that don't get it have to leave.
