This is surely our tenth or eleventh 'must win' of the season. It has to be the most over used term in football. Having said that if we can't win tomorrow you wonder when or if we will win again in the league. As it is I'm actually feeling supremely confident about tomorrow's result. A corner was turned on Wednesday.

Yup!
And imagine where we could have been if even half of the must wins had actually happened.
"Most over used term in football"?
Raging hormone teenager reply incoming......
"Whatever!"😌
As for the rest I agree wholeheartedly.
After all it's a must win game.😉

Well it is the most overused term in football Embow and at the end of the day if we don't win tomorrow I'll be as sick as parrot but we'll just have to knuckle down and take it one game at a time. We've got a good squad on paper but it's goals that wins games even games that are ones of two halves.

Most overused and and also incorrectly used term in football is surely "just about" as in "the keeper just about kept that out" after making a save. But yes "must win" is up there, ranking alongside "sweet left foot". Very Happy

Also, sadly, these days - "he touched me, I was entitled to go down".

First time I heard that one, that I recall, was Gareth Bale chucking himself to the ground at Anfield after Andrew Robertson's pinky toe brushed his left calf. And Match of the Day then commented that, at that speed of running, no wonder Bale went down. It got me thinking, an even faster Welshman, hurdler Colin Jackson, could clatter a barrier going down the 110m, and somehow manage to stay on his feet and get close to the world record.....just sayin'

Laughing Laughing Footballers are a special, often physics defying breed.

On the game, I hope we can get some momentum. If Varian is out, Poplatnik needs to start, get Ross back on, probably for Zanatta but if he's fit, replacement for Connolly who's been drifting out of games a lot. Hopefully Gullan is back and on the bench now that Mitchell has been sent off to play more regularly

Or as Derek Ferguson would say 'It's fell for him and he's just hut it'.

I once heard a coach yell, "The whistle's went" after a player kept on playing following a foul. So I would add "went" to one of the overused words in football today.

Back to the matter in hand.
As usual any win will do no matter how achieved.
We're at the pointy end of the season so need to get on a run of positive results starting today.
Will we win?
I've a feeling that we will but need to be shooting on sight much more.
3-1to the Rovers? Maybe.
2-1 Rovers? More likely.

A fine start. Not!☹️
That's the Ayr goal as expected.
Now let's get back into this as the clock's change isn't for another three weeks.
