Is it just me or is it a web page thing with Fantalk - after I have read a post the yellow dots remain. Before, After they were read the dots became clear and I knew what I had read. Prefer to have dots clear after reading a post. How about you? _________________ Here Wee go again |

You sure it's just not because you are viewing the page from your cache? _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Well sometimes when I view a thread and then press the back button on my browser the yellow dot will still be there as I'm viewing the cached version of page. The page that my browser remembers from before. If I then refresh that page it will load the new version which knows that I have read that thread and the yellow dot dissappears. I'm sure someone more computer savvy could explain it better. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

A cache, in computer terms, is a stored item. In the case of a computer, some browsers or apps/programs will store, or cache, a copy if a page after a visit and use it to either speed loading next visit or allow review offline. Sometimes a cache is loaded in place of the current page because the connection is slow. |

What are these "yellow dots" you're discussing? What I can see are orange (ish) squares. We talking about the same thing _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

Touch wood, I'm not seeing any yellow dots or orange squares.
Are you boys maybe just not putting enough water in your whisky? _________________ Dougie Hill

You'd be welcome to come one of our Malt tasting days, highly enjoyable and might even prove educational. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Easton 6, Gullan 6, Stanton 4, Dick 3, Vaughan 3, Connell 2, Brown 1, Frederiksen 1, McBride 1, OG 1. |

Yes Alex - yellow square flag like buttons that tell you when a post is new or has been read (or not red )
All this talk of whisky and water is a far cry from the seriousness of this situation. If i have to refresh my cache I will certainly use water and a lot of it. _________________ Here Wee go again |

This has now resolved itself without me knowingly having done anything. If anyone has computer issues just let me know and i will come and lay my hands on your machine. _________________ Here Wee go again |
