This is turning into a pretty pitiful defence of my title. |

I always thought McPake was out of his depth, but a decent enough guy.
It would be delightful if a horrible creature like Derek Adams was at the wheel when they get relegated at the end of the season. _________________ Dougie Hill

I'm sitting pretty up in the silver medal position, perfect for a mid table finish I'll struggle to stay in a play-off spot but should comfortably avoid the trap door. _________________ Competitive goals: Easton 5, Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Smacks of a done deal behind McPake's back. It's happened so quickly for it not to have already been in place. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Dundee clubs have form for tapping up etc, e.g. see the snake. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Apparently McGhee still has a six game touchline ban outstanding from his time at Motherwell. _________________ Dougie Hill

Indeed he has, but that clearly hasn't factored in mate Strachan's advice to Mr Nelms. As I said to some mates, maybe they should just go the whole hog and bring in Neil Simpson as assistant to add some flair to the side... |

Quote: | St Mirren Football Club can confirm that we have been approached by Aberdeen FC to speak to manager Jim Goodwin in relation to their managerial vacancy.
This is an opportunity that Jim wishes to explore and the club has granted the manager permission to speak to Aberdeen regarding this position.
We hope for a swift resolution to this matter. |

I see that Jack Ross has turned down a return to St. Mirren. That'll be him just waiting for the call from Starks Park! |
