Pity that some people use every opportunity to turn this into a personal dig at the First Minister and the Scottish Government. Ask yourself this; do you really want the great Buffoon Boris in charge of Scotland’s Health? He is incapable of taking any decision that might make him unpopular amongst the Mondeo Men of Middle England. For some reason the old Etonian Toff act charms those in the South but even the Scottish Tories can’t stand him. A complete stranger to the truth and always ends up copying us but only when it’s too late.

Boris isn't in charge so that is irrelevant, I called the FM an idiot, for that it what she is, the timetable for restrictions is severely flawed and makes no sense.
It's time that Holyrood earns the now inflated wage they claim and do a proper job.

The point is that if it wasn’t for the devolved powers of the Scottish Government (or ‘toon Council’ as its critics choose to characterise it) then he would be in charge. At least our FM actually heeds the advice of her scientific advisers. Compare and contrast with Westminster. You may not agree with her politics, and that’s fine, but ‘idiot’? I don’t think so.

I guess you could call me apolitical, so I like to think my views are balanced. I agree to an extent with WJ, but you are right Valleyboy, she is not an idiot, quite the opposite. Like Bungle and Skeletor (Swinney) Sturgeon is more akin to a very smart greasy pig, blindly promoting their own agenda and when the proverbial hits the fan, nothing ever seems to stick.
Unfortunately, I think the first lesson on a politics degree is plausible deniability and the second problem is that such a course exists at all. What happened to all the real people who had real jobs and lived lives, getting into politics for the good of their peers?

Anyhoo, the St Mirren game is a joke and another matter more important to Scottish football fans. If, the St Mirren situation is as reported, then it reaffirms the thinking of many a fan that the game is run for the benefit of the ugly sisters. I hope Saints kick off and all sit down and refuse to take any further part.

Finally, sorry for going on, Jason Leitch has lost all credibility with this and seems to have cemented his position as a government pawn (I'm sure they will all do very well out of it!). There should be no fans at games for two weeks, to protect the fans, their families and the hard pressed NHS, it's a pussy call to try and appease the minority of gobshites.

Happy to answer any questions

Leaving aside political comment , I note this, with a bit of surprise from a Raith perspective:

How did she arrive at a figure of 500 in the first place , knowing full well it takes more than twice that to cover costs

A very nasty, if incoherent, post Red Zebra. Not so much apolitical as a venomous rant. Go and have a good look at yourself. Then again…

She didn’t arrive at 500. Her medical advisers did. If and when Boris agreed to the request from all the devolved nations to re-start furlough rather than pander to Rees-Mogg and his mob then the clubs can get more money. Meantime they can still charge PPV for non season ticket holders.

Jason Leitch admits SPFL 500 fan cap not based on exact science but says 'you have to draw the line somewhere'

Well make a % of the capacity of the stadium instead of a figure of 500

Right folks as one of the Moderators I feel it's time to intervene

First and foremost please let me remind everyone (myself included) of the rules regarding debating politics on Fantalk.
Below is the one simple rule.

Political Comments: Comments of a political nature are not allowed on the forum.

Now in the interest of everyone can we all please adhere to what is asked of the members.

By all means discuss the effect of advice and guidance and regulations on football and the Rovers in particular but please keep political opinions whatever they may be in check.
Thank you all for your compliance.

Happy to go along with that Embow. I agree with the policy and only reluctantly responded when others had decided it was fair game to take a pop at the Scottish Government. Merely redressing the balance. However happy to leave it there.

A terrible decision made with no real regard for the supporters. No shock there
