I was wondering about that.
We've had an extraordinary lot for various reasons, not least incompetent officials, but others have been all our own doing, such as the Falkirk two yellows making a red.
Especially our own doing are some of the straight reds.
Thanks for confirming. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Noting that Masson might just be out too, wasn’t on the bench...and we appealed Berra’s red. |

He was 'on the bench' he was gophering at full time helping put kit away, nothing physically wrong with him. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Best possible news other than a successful appeal.
Anyone know which player is injured versus the ill ones? |

Apparently Sevco youngster Ben Williamson is set to sign on loan for us. A midfielder who is currently with Livingston but hardly played for them. Sevco set to recall him and possibly send him our direction. |

We don't need a midfielder, it's strikers we need. |

We've lost Spencer through injury and are about to lose Tait so yes, we do need another midfielder.
Agreed we need a striker. |

Not just a striker, as is Varian, but someone who can put the ball in the net. |

Assuming we get Williamson at a reasonable rate, in exchange for an assurance of more play, then we have Stanton/Williamson/Matthews or Spencer as a midfield to rely on. If Coulson returns, and isn’t sent back out on loan again, I would like to see Arnott offered to a League One team for the second half. Otherwise, he can keep learning with a little time here and there and be ready to compete to start next year. Coulson wouldn’t be the same option as Arnott off the bench, but either would probably be enough with four solid starters (if Williamson and Stanton live up to their press) plus BRS for additional cover.
Again, assuming a nice discount on Ben, we should have a decent budget to pickup a striker with some goal scoring ability. We do have to try to get Keatings shipped out again to defray costs, and if Mahady comes back, Mitchell on loan might be the move to make (sounds familiar, eh?).
It may seem strange, but getting Coulson/Arnott and Mahady/Mitchell experience this year might be critical for the next year or two.
So, if we have Williamson and Stanton playing to hype, plus a striker in, we would be pretty set, with perhaps a winger in the nice to have category…but in the winger category we don’t have the amount of playing time we can promise a striker (if Ethon doesn’t stay). Which also means that both the striker (*depends) and the winger would likely need to be signings and not loans from teams expecting heavy playing time. |

Talking of strikers, I wonder if Cummings at Dundee would fit the bill |
