Club may have had their knuckles rapped after the Fife derby.

Which is ludicrous when you look at some of the stuff the OF get up to.
As per, SPFL v wee club syndrome again, not condoning the behaviour of those that did encroach, but I'll bet a lot of us have done it in the past, I just cannae get ma leg over the wall now Rolling Eyes

I am only speculating that we've been sanctioned/cautioned but it would make sense if we've put that statement out. But yes, given some of the other things that take place elsewhere, it is a bit ludicrous.

As for the game, I think when you look at where we were seated, the two groups of fans next to each other in the same stand, any encroachment onto the pitch during or after the game would be seen as nothing more than antagonistic towards the opposition fans. The referee and the police would have indicated as such.

Yes its emotional to see the team score a last minute goal against our local rivals that gets us something out of the game but its not too hard to keep that emotion in the stand, the majority of fans managed it. Our support has overall be fantastic all season, if not a little low in numbers given our league position and style of football but the general atmosphere at games is good right now regardless.

Get these idiots who sing about sex offenders etc. away from our club. It shouldn't be too difficult to hunt them down and ban them. They are trashing the good name of the club and all the sensible supporters. I'm lead to believe that they were vociferous at times today at Hamilton.😠😠

I would have a quiet word with them first. As a former teacher you'll know that very often that approach usually works. Wink

Agreed. But there comes a time for a more robust approach. They've been politely asked to think about their actions a few weeks ago by the fans rep on the board jointly with the SLO.

If the 'polite request' approach doesn't cut any ice, then agreed that a more robust approach is needed. At home matches, a more pointed tannoy announcement the minute any of it starts up again, backed by stewards moving in. At away matches, some self-policing maybe, whereby some of us others should approach them and 'persuade' them to desist.

Because it will bring shame on our club's name, if it isn't already.

I didn't hear that yesterday. I'd not want to have anyone banned but a word at away games might not get any positive response.

Lifted this from a post on Facebook.

Well done to the boys and John n Smudger absolutely brilliant away day. I will say I love what the young team in the stand bring in terms of atmosphere getting behind the team, but for god sake learn to know what’s acceptable in terms of chants and songs. Some of the shouts today were really uncalled for specially with the young kids infront of you, we don’t want to hear shouts about Norrie McCathies passing and Sex offenders all afternoon, keep up the good work boys but keep it clean

Ahh, didn't see that, didn't hear it either. Unacceptable regardless.
