Any chance of getting a part two to" There will always next season". Or has there not been enough time from when book one finished? |

Is that a photo from the era when the dugouts were down by the tunnel? |

Got my copy today - that's the holiday reading sorted out.
Looks like a great book, but they've boobed on one of the photos of Starks Park - it's the Beveridge Park end, not the Links end. _________________ Dougie Hill

Brings back memories of when at half time the crowds would walk clockwise from the north end to the south end and so remain apart.
I would like to know what the crowds were back in the mid sixties to the early seventies. Certainly seemed a lot bigger than today’s crowds.
Fond memories of the “ big teams” coming to kdy. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

One of the new books (3) contains a photo which will be lost on many.
It shows the old turnstiles at the north end with the Seafield winding tower to the left of the Main Stand. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Cuperman, I remember taking my (now) wife to her first and only match at SP and standing at that exact spot/ barrier. And yes, we took the walk around to the south end at half time. The crowd was round 5000 and the walk through the "shed" took almost the entire half time (we did pick up a bovril on the way through). The missus was about the only woman in the area and when a loud mouth visitor was spouting some foul mouth obscenities a young rovers fan close by put him in his place, big time. _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

She got over it............and was appreciative of the gentleman Rovers fan.
Only footy match she went to but followed me everywhere when I went on to play (senior) rugby and left my semi pro footy behind. _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

Remember it very well.
The 'Big Gate' end.
It even featured as a photograph in a first/second year French textbook used throughout Scotland back in the day.
All about learning French related to playing and going to games of different sports.😊 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
