Looking forward to this one. No easy games in the league but this is one we’ll want to be winning, especially at home. Would love to see Masonda back and hopefully Varian is fit.

3-1 Rovers…

Ayr almost held Killie to a draw, although, like our game on Tuesday, it was a Derby and Ayr are usually particularly up for the Ayrshire Derby. Did form go out the window then? Certainly hope that was part of the reason we weren't on top form, that, together with the enforced changes, the weather and also having played 45 plus minutes with ten men on Saturday. Excuses or reasons though?🤔
I wonder if the team will be unchanged or Blaise will start? Still to be entirely convinced by BRS, but keep hoping it's a question of getting up to speed with playing at Scottish Championship level.
If he sticks with the 11 from the Pars game, I suspect that Ethan Ross will be on the wing and Aidan Connolly in the ten role.
If Ethon Varian has recovered , there is the alternative of putting Ross back on the bench and playing Poplatnik in behind. But, whatever , we shall miss Rossco's ball-winning and all action style in midfield.
The defence had jittery moments on Tuesday but Tom Lang generally played well and will have benefitted from 90 minutes competitive action.
Still, we can't bank on a clean sheet these days , so I'd settle for 2-1 to The Rovers!

I think:

Lang for Bene, no difference.

Poplatnik and Ross, as before, potentially more effective.

Mitchell gets another 20-25’.

Musonda gets a 10’ cameo, if possible.

Arnott may actually be available to spell one of Ross/Zanatta/Connolly, as needed, but only if they are utterly spent.

Hoping for quiet traffic today. Last week - train was stopped at North Queensferry and several rovers and Caley fans were left on platform. Trains didn’t stop as apparently there was an attempted or successful suicide at NQ.
So will likely drive and hope we get a good outcome. Come on ye Michty.

As ever, first and foremost, any style of win for the three points will do. If it comes with a feast of fast flowing fitba' so much the better.
This will likely be a close game now that Ayr seem to have got its act together with Duffy at the helm.
Hope the weather is better than the horrendous rain here?

I see Frankie is on the bench again. Does anyone know if he's genuinely ready or not?

I'll settle for a win by the odd goal today. Just hope it's not another nail biter.....my old ticker can do without that.

I've noticed that they are late in starting most games now for whatever reason (s). Sometimes up to quarter of an hour into the game.

I'll look into it.

Nice start. Gaun' yersel' Ethan😊
Dario back on the scoresheet 👍
Could do with a third while on top. Might help kill off the game for the second half.

Surely not another injury?
How long does this injury jinks keep going on for?☹️
We've dropped right out of this with the loss of Brad and will do well to see this out unless we get a third asap.

Loss of Spencer being very keenly felt in the second half. We're just not in this.
And breathe!😊
That was a horrendous second half. Ayr very unlucky to get a share of the points
