Just heard the sad news that former Rovers manager Jimmy Millar has passed away.
His time at the club wasn't hugely successful, but he was in charge when we beat Rangers at home in 1970.

The Bluenose Brigade are having a tough day with this news and the passing of Walter Smith.
Always sad when you remember seeing these guys in their playing prime and wanting to copy or emulate them. Failed spectacularly on both accounts!🥺
I have a photo hanging on a wall at the top of the house with Jimmy in his managerial role and Tommy Walker as general secretary along with the board at the time including the old man. 1969-70 it was.

Apparently the tweet which said Jimmy Millar had passed away was fake, which is shocking behaviour, but ultimately good news.
It originated from a Celtic fan. Quite probably one of those who, yet again, brought shame on their 'more than a club' during the minute's at Dens Park today.

That's horrendous!
Nothing but the lowest of the low.
I did wonder why there seemed to be nothing picked up on this by the media, especially as it was put out on the same day as Walter Smith's death. A very good friend of mine gets the Ranger's News digital version each week ( I cater for all types😄) and he keeps asking me if my information was correct as nothing had been reported by the club. That really should have put my suspicions on the full alert radar.
Delighted to learn Jimmy is still to the fore.
