Celtic refusing to give Rovers tickets for this one.
Absolutely disgraceful given that it's not a season ticket game and it's a split gate.
The English authorities have rules in place that away teams are allocated up to 15% of a ground's capacity for a cup tie if they wish.
Rovers should be kicking up hell over this and at the very least demanding compensation of around a fiver for every empty seat in the ground, given that adult tickets are £17, concessions £12 and under 12s £7.

I thought that if prices are being reduced that both teams have to agree. With what Celtic have done Raith should insist on full prices for the Celtic fans.

If Raith kick up a fuss I bet even less Celtic fans will turn up.

The SFA/SPFL set a minimum price for games, this will be the datum.

A lot of the Celtic fans are saying that they have already paid for their tickets for the match, or are obliged in some way to buy them to ensure tickets for cup finals etc. Which means that they may actually only be a few thousand physically at the game but many more will have ‘had’ to buy the tickets if that makes sense.

Not quite sure how it works with them but if that is the case then surely both clubs will have to agree on a price for the tickets🤔

I think the minimum away fan rule down south is only for the FA Cup and the same sort of thing applies up here for the Scottish Cup.

Wouldna surprise me. The NFL has, for years, required ST buyers to purchase tickets to the “preseason” matches that no one wants to attend, at full price. You also lose your ST priority and rights for remaining post-season matches in a season once you decline to buy a match offered to you.

Depends on how many are willing to travel to Connecticut in these Covid times!😄
However should it be at Hampden, now that's another story.😊

This is a Big Game, but is it an important Game? Of course it is late stage Cup with all that entails and if we were to win...... well who knows what might happen after that? So it is a very Big Game. Financially, a win would also help top up our no doubt beleaguered bank account. However realistically, even our most optimistic of Fans must concede our chances of a win against an on-form Celtic side at Parkhead have to be slim (although not impossible).

Might this be a game to rest and protect a couple of our regulars and maybe consider some of the fringe players?

I can already feel an aftershock of wrath making its way North from some of my fellow posters, but please consider this:

If we play our top squad and risk injury, and get beat anyway; we may find ourselves struggling to field a competitive team for our next two league games, and these are VERY Important games, because winning both these Games would launch us into at least fourth position in the league, and these are games we are more than capable of winning.

Controversial position to take? Sure. However, sometimes it IS alright to look beyond the next game!

I guess there goes my seat on the Board Confused

How about…

Thomson (or Bow)

McKay/Lang/Bene/Berra/Young

Arnott/Riley-Snow/Fotheringham

Mitchell/Keatings

Well, HR, I'm with you, especially looking at our upcoming games in the league which, up to and including the Killie game ,could define our season.
However, our management team is not prone to much rotation , Celtic are hardly invincible at the moment and Livie have given them something to think about this afternoon. I suspect that JMcG will field what he considers to be his strongest eleven and take the Partick game as it comes afterwards.
Of course, he may consider that our best team for the game at Parkhead will encompass three/five at the back , and I would not be surprised to see Tom Lang start. JMcG did heap praise on him in the post-Morton interview.
A lot of supporters may see this as an opportunity to start a certain Mr James Keatings! Whatever is going on there becomes more puzzling with every game, the latest being that Keatings was not seen as the man to sub for Ethon Varian yesterday. I would have thought that aspect might have puzzled Davie and Niall too, and that a question could have been posed?

That team would get absolutely annihilated.

Overly rotating the squad for this would be insane. Would lead to an absolute doing which would do nobody any good at all.

It's a national cup Quarter Final *beep*. Play your strongest team and see where that gets you.
