Quote: | A proposal to expand the SPFL to 48 teams and admit Celtic and Rangers 'B' teams has failed to gather enough backing at an indicative vote. |

I guess the money coming into the Lowland league makes up for the hidings teams are taking at the hands of Rangers and Celtic B squads? Rangers 9-1 up against Gretna and Celtic 10-0 winners against Vale of Leithen today. Although Vale have conceded 24 goals in their last 3 games. |

Where are you seeing that? I looked here and there are no latest scores let alone results.

Just picked up yesterdays results...................re OF B teams. Even the paltry money they have been paid to have them included, I cannot work out what the Lowland league teams have to gain from getting hammered like this is week in week out. Must be demoralising.
The OF B teams can't be getting anything either other than training sessions. _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

If / when both of the Old Firm B teams win the Lowland League, would 3rd place still get a play-off spot? If not, it would be very unfair and of so, it would just be a matter of time before the OF toys would come out of the pram, saying they need the chance to face much tougher oppostion - yada yada.
I also notice that in the Challenge Cup it is now "B" teams, no longer just Under 20s? |

As it stands, should the bigot brothers get 1st and 2nd in the league then 3rd place does indeed merit a playoff.
However watch this space over the next year or so. The authorities always bend over to them both. |

Thanks for that heads-up Badpress. Agree 100% they won't be happy until they worm their way into the leagues and the authorities will cut more slack for them than for anyone else. |

*Pedant Alert*...
Yes, they will be Lowland League representatives in this season's play-offs, but they're not Champions yet, as either of Rangers B or Celtic B can still catch them. But realistically that won't happen either, so you're gonna be correct, just not yet! |

They are champions according to their league.

So who you gonna believe? The SPFL, who we all know 'don't know what they're doing' to quote most fans? Or Stan Drew Rover, who clearly is the font of all knowledge? Don't answer that! |

Not one of my fav football quotes in the world but “The table never lies” seems pretty apt on this one |
