Rumoured to be joining Forest Green Rovers. Regan was a superb player for us and came across as a very nice guy. I thought that he'd easily cut the mustard in the Scottish Premiership, but glad in a way that we won't be tormented by his skills in the immediate future! |

Good path into the English leagues, I think he'll do well there and get another move next year to a higher level. Given he's 23, do we get any sort of compensation I wonder? Probably not as its cross border. |

Forest Green are pretty close to being near neighbours so maybe pay them a visit and check how he is doing and report back...............
If he wasn't before he will need to become vegan Green by name and green by nature. _________________ Keeping the Faith (and the Missionary work!) |

Many thanks for drawing our attention to The Courier article, WJ.
A decent read as you say, although I can't help but think that Regan was the heartbeat of The Rovers
team and not the heartbreak.🤔 |

I thought the same. Pretty sure that's what they intended.
Really good read though. All the best to the lad, I think he can go further in the game. |

He has probably at least tripled his salary, has a bigger backroom staff to count on and away days will be a lot different. He is also in for a bit of a culture shock, he will come across teams that are no better than kick them off the park juniors and quality sides already gearing up for championship football.
Great for him to broaden his horizons but he is now in a much bigger pond, what happens next is up to him, but he will have a bigger support unit for sure.
It is a sad indictment on Scottish football that Championship and Premiership clubs cannot match the packages on offer at League 2 and even National Premier clubs for our better players (when not snapped up by the OF reserves), and we wonder why our National game is in such disarray! _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Leafing through the FGR FC news feed, I noticed they had just had some nine new 18 year olds join the club development scheme. That’s an English League Two side doing something that simply doesn’t exist in a similar manner in Scottish football outside the OF and perhaps one or two others.
Edit: Dug a little more, and FGR has a roughly £1.5m salary cap in English League Two. Based upon some of their other players last year, Regan could be in the £1,500 to £2,500 per week range at FGR, so tripling might be a trifle high, assuming he was reasonably well compensated by Raith standards. |

According to the website our local weekly newspaper, which prides itself on 'fact checked journalism', Cowdenbeath almost equalised when Jamie MacDonald pulled of a save to prevent Regan Hendry from heading into his own net yesterday. _________________ Dougie Hill

In fairness, he always was able to ghost his way, at times magnificently, through a game.👻 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

If the FFP said it was raining I'd look out the window to confirm it before believing it.
