I'd be absolutely delighted to be proven wrong but I just don't see where a victory will come from. A draw would be a good result in all honesty.
We are just not quite good enough for this level. The players will give their all, of that there's no dispute, but the ability needed at this level will be sporadic at best.
Having said all that I really do hope that by some miracle we can totally upset the applecart. It would be absolutely awesome if it came to pass.😀 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Half an hour played and England are brutal in the pugilistic meaning of the word. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

decent performance so far. apart from stones header we have looked good at the back. Is this the same O'Donnell as he has been excellent? |

Uri Geller must be up to his nonsense, the commentator reckons we were saved by the post. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

0-0 yet it was still a good game.
Are England really ranked 40 places above us? _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Happy to be proven wrong about the team on that display. It was Scottish and English similar style football. Can we adapt to a more continental approach and method of play? We can on the effort shown tonight.
Such a pity that we can't produce this in all our games. So unlucky not to have scored tonight.
We really need to be clinical in front of goal. Two games played. Goals nil!☹️ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Tremendous display filled with hard work and no shortage of courage on the ball. England never dominated us and we caused them as much trouble as they caused us. Same again on Tuesday please. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Best football display on years.
We stifled their "so called world class players" and our lads shone. |

I couldn't face breakfast this morning, I'm still full of humble pie from last night after O'Donnell's tremendous performance against England.
I have questioned S O'Ds and Grant Hanley's ability at national level in the past, the former more so after Mondays game but he shut me and the rest of his critics up with a brilliant performance, as did Grant Hanley who was absolutely superb in both games. Both players are without doubt fully deserving of their places in the national team.
To put perspective on a game that is already being played down by the English Meeja as an off day for their boys, Scotland are 44th in the FIFA world rankings. OK that's FORTY places behind England who are ranked 4th in the world and the 3rd best side in Europe. And so on their own midden we matched them all over the park. They shaded the possession 60/40 (strangely) but we had more shots on goal and more on target in a game that was evenly matched regardless of the rankings.
There were no failures in a Scot's side that showed not only the passion we need but genuine talent. None more so than in Billy Gilmour who at only 19 yrs old we have a man that will scare the pants of international midfielders for a decade and more.
After the disappointment of Monday the team restored the belief of a nation and made us happy and proud. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Easton 3, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

I lost my enthusiasm for following Scotland many years ago, but have credit Steve Clarke for what he's achieved with a limited pool of talent (Robertson and Tierney being the exceptions).
Very reminiscent of what he achieved at Kilmarnock when he guided them to a much higher level than their collective talent was deserving of. _________________ Dougie Hill

So, despite McTominay, Gilmour and Adams all playing in the Premier League down South you don't rate them?
We will really struggle to put a team together that will please you then SG _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

These guys are an upgrade on what we've had for most of this century, but would McTominay get near any Alex Ferguson's Manchester United teams?
And while McGinn is decent enough in midfield, he's no Souness or Strachan. _________________ Dougie Hill
