This is the rumour:

''Raith Rovers are set to add left-back Liam Dick to their squad ahead of the new season, NTOF (Nottheoldfirm) understands, after pipping Falkirk to the signing of the former Alloa Athletic stars signing.

Dick, who left Alloa at the end of the season after three seasons with the Wasps culminated in their relegation to League One.
With the chance to stay in the Championship, as well as returning to playing full-time after three years combining playing with Alloa with work outside of football, the 25-year-old brings plenty of experience to Kirkcaldy.''

If true, pipping Falkirk again would make it even better!!!

Tex will be chuffed to bits.

Similar to the one we're losing in that he's versatile, can play anywhere across the back 4, he likes to get forward and has an eye for shooting. Liam Dick is the same age as Macca was when we signed him but with experience at a higher level.
Good signing.

If this comes off I think that'll be all the defenders we'll sign for the season unless we deal in a youngster.
Bene & Berra can play central, McKay and Lang (also Musonda) can fill in at RB if required. Musonda can fill in for Dick at LB.

If required Dick and Musonda can play anywhere across the back.

Speaks well, seems an intelligent laddie with his head screwed on, here's hoping he reaps the rewards of FT football and learns much from McGlynn & co.

Quite a frustrating player. Clearly not the worst defender but not great and not a patch on his predecessor.
Did I hear a suggestion somewhere that McDonald wants to come back? If he does it should be made to happen.

Also, Tumilty isn't as hot this season as he was last, he's another one I'd be looking to upgrade despite an improved performance against Morton at Cappielow.

Without a doubt Dicks not a patch on his predecessor and Tumilty has regressed as has a number of players to be fair

Seems to be a Rovers thing, players come in and intially look the dugs. After a while they look like dug *bleep*

Dick has done fine for us. Nothing spectacular but hasn't done much wrong in my opinion. Just an honest pro. Also just my opinion bit I don't get the criticism of Tumilty. For me he is one of the better full backs in the league, at least as an attacking one. I suspect we'll need to replace him next season anyway as he'll get a better contract elsewhere.

Tumilty hasn't kicked on from last season.
Defensively he's weak, the defeat at Ayr was largely down to him and his positioning for the Arbroath pen was woeful.

For every game like he had at Killie (his best peformance) this season he's had an Ayr, Arbroath and Hamilton away where he's been poor.

He'll be off to another club in the summer, we should be looking to upgrade.

Got to say that most of the time Liam is thought of as a good utility player. But I noticed, quite recently, that he has an additional strength when playing at LB ,namely that he's our only player this season who won his fair share in the air of kick outs from the keeper. None of our strikers ( other than Gullan, occasionally, ) seemed capable of competing in the air.
