Howe's preferred choice of No 2 Mr Grant's signing on at EEP has scuppered the deal!
Celtic unwilling to pay Dunfermline a dozen Coke's & Mars bars to gain his release, Pars now saying they will hold out for a bakers dozen or there will be no deal! _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Easton 3, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

You have to hand it to Grant, he has massive cojones to get away with this.
Quote: | "They saw my CV on the football pitch," Grant says. "I don't believe in putting a CV in because, if I did, I would blow everybody else away anyway. I don't mean that disrespectfully." |
Call it prestidigitation or smoke and mirrors but he has pulled of one of the biggest con jobs since Gary Locke who 'interviewed well'

The words (Peter) 'Grant' and 'Billy' are not words you'll likely see very often in the same written piece!😉 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

"I don't believe in putting a CV in" .......Because I've not actually done much as a player, coach or manager. Hashtagfanny! _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Easton 3, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

The Pythons famously took the Deutsche Mark in the early 70's to make a couple of programmes in German and dubbed versions.
Perhaps the new owners are a whacky bunch with a similar sense of humour and liked the cut of his jib. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

While Grant is a pretentious git and bellows on the sidelines like a water Buffalo passing a kidney stone, I do believe he will do reasonably well (unfortunately). In his spells at Norwich and Alloa he was handicapped by budget and conflicts on which players he considered essential versus the how the BoD/owner felt. Eddie Howe is no chump of a manager, and if he felt having Grant onboard was essential to his joining Celtic, that suggests Grant has something. |

A prominent Rovers sponsor asked the, then, directors what the hell they were thinking about when appointing Locke.
A director replied 'you've no idea how well he interviewed'.
This was met with 'So did Jack the Ripper. That's why he was let go'. _________________ Dougie Hill

I hope the predictions above about Peter Grant turn out to be true, but Alloa played some decent quality of football under him, and we only scraped a win against 10 men in our last game. |

Still, we won all three games, Goals for 10, goals against 4. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Absolutely and if I were barcode I’d be hanging on to the hope that he will do even better with a bigger budget and better quality at his disposal. However as WMJ says for as well as they played against us they still couldn’t beat us, add to that the fact that they were relegated below poor Morton and Ayr sides. I hope he enjoys a little success but no more than that.
To be honest I’d have been more worried had they’d named Stewart Petrie as boss. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Easton 3, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |
