With Glasgow remaining in tier 3 for at least another week this may have a knock on affect for the cup final attendees if it continues on for 2 weeks. As it stands, you cannot travel to an area which is a higher or lower tier than your own. |

Unless they can move the final to the east. |

Quite frankly it should have nothing to do with what the managers want. Surely as a spectacle it would be better played at a Pittodrie with spectators than an empty Hampden _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Now to be played behind closed doors due to the level 3 imposition in Glasgow for at least the next week.
Why this hasn't been shifted to Pittodrie, Tynecastle,Murrayfield etc is beyond comprehension. Going there in reasonable numbers is permitted under level 2 movement regulations.
Surely it's an SFA decision to change venue or am I not up to speed on all this? _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Congrats to the Perth Saints on their cup double this season, it would appear Callum Davidson is a genius after all _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Have to say that Hibs really never turned up.
How much of that was due to how well organised the Saint's defence was, or how poor Hibs were in the last third, I'm not too sure.
Why they persisted in lumping the ball forward instead of playing it into feet defies me. Also no real width to the Hibs attack for all the game.
Nonetheless, to manage a provincial club to a cup double is history of the highest order.
Fittingly, in his post match interview Callum D paid, first and foremost, full complement to the Brown family for how they have run the club over very many years before going to reflect on how the game went for Saints. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

A pretty dire final, but no doubt St Johnstone deserved to win.
Their shape was better, they were very disciplined defensively and they won the vast majority of the individual battles all over the park.
Horrible inconsistencies in the refereeing highlighted once again - can't begin to understand why the Hibs player isn't sent off for the foul which led to the penalty, and Porteous' challenge in injury time was far worse and more cynical than the Dylan Tait red card at Dens Park a few weeks ago.
Apparently the way the European tournaments are being revamped next season gives St Johnstone a good chance of making a few million next season. _________________ Dougie Hill

Saints stand to make a few million due to europe. My understanding is that they go straight into the playoff for the europa league. If they dont make it through to the group stage they go into the new europa conference league. They will have European football at least till the end of the year. |

THE Scottish Cup winners face a possible Euro blow - after Uefa removed the guarantee of group stage football.
But they also had the guaranteed £3million consolation of a spot in the new Conference League groups - if eliminated.
However, Uefa's 2021/22 access list for the Europa League has reportedly been changed in the last 48 hours.
And the Scottish Cup winners are now set to start in the third qualifying round instead - meaning they would face a Conference League play-off if they lose.
It's understood Uefa have promoted the Cypriot Cup winners - Anorthosis Famagusta - from the Conference League to Europa League third round qualifiers in the last few days.
That has led to a rebalancing of the access list and the Scottish Cup winners are expected to be the team to drop out of the play-off.
There could be a late reprieve - depending on the outcome of the Champions League and Europa League finals.
If Chelsea win the Champions League and qualify for the Europa League via the Premier League, or Villarreal win the Europa League and qualify via La Liga, the Scottish Cup winners are likely to land a play off _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |
