The guys who work in the cleansing and maintenance department of Glasgow City Cooncil have probably just lost a whack of overtime. _________________ Dougie Hill

To be fair, they've been decent in Europe. And they've significantly helped the national coefficient. And respect for Scottish football in Europe, now one of six different nations represented in the 3 finals for 2022. Mind you, they're no more Scottish than Liverpool (or Man City, Chelsea etc) are English... |

If that it is them in their first euro final then that makes it all the more extraordinary and incredible. From nothing to among Europe's elite in ten seasons? _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Considering the players missing and the injuries during game, it was an incredible result.
Shame for them the final isn’t at Ibrox!
Added prize of Pot1 in next seasons Champions League group stage if they win it too |

Can you imagine the carnage in that wonderful city had West Ham won last night. British Derby. Scotland v England. Glasgow v London. And not in a good way. |

There will be carnage of some sort, need to wait to find out the scale..
There was an estimated 100,000+ Frankfurt fans who travelled to Barcelona for the QF, I know Seville is other end of Spain but they will still easily double that number while The Rangers will take roughly the same numbers…
Sun, cheap beer, evening kick off, around half a million frenzied football fans, most without tickets in a small city together… what could go wrong… |

To be fair to Eintracht, I’ve watched the game in Barca and seen videos of the city and there is easily 35/40,000 away fans in the ground and the streets and bars are just a sea of white.
Celtic numbers in Seville though a good estimate of what you say, started at 100,000 estimate, latest reports suggest 3.5million hoops fans and rising… |

Decent final and Ramsey didn’t look too bothered about missing his penalty |

Oh the irony.
They get more opportunities to practice penalties in games than any other team in Europe, then bottle it with a European trophy and £40m of Champions League money at stake. _________________ Dougie Hill

I just don't get how, when people are having to decide between heating & eating, the ferry fiasco, the rail fiasco, the tens of thousands of families on the breadline, horrendous drug abuser and deaths numbers, amongst many other major issues plaguing the country right now, how the national broadcaster in Scotland can make their lead story on the news, 3 days running, about a football club who wont even entertain them.
BBC Scotland needs to take a long hard look at itself _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |
