Once was ok. Wouldn’t fancy listening to him every home game if I was a Lichties fan though.

Not sure what’s more amazing...we only lost by one goal or that the Raith TV team managed to find 6mins of ‘highlights’.

What will be more amazing will be the RaithTV team bringing us the next three games on the spin sans 1950's commentary from rural Angus.

I agree with the comments about our poor performance & lack of adaption to the very poor surface. Perhaps we should institute a yellow jersey system in training for the player who has made the most bad or thoughtless passes in the previous match. At times the sheer lack of pace out from the back is losing us
games. Why pass back to the goalie if he can only boot it out under pressure?
At least try & advance & play it down the wing.

Very poor performance again badly missed Musonda in defence, as has been proved time after time Davo and Bene together are weak albeit it was McDonald who sold the goal.
But OMG if thats what passes for a football pitch its no wonder Broath are the only team who can play on it
Do our players have different boots for grass pitches Question

Fair play to RaithTV, it looked like the Arbroath highlights, so they played it down th Elaine and showed the most interesting action...which is a hell of a commentary on our play!

Too lazy to rewrite so I will just cut and paste this.

Apart from bad pixilation in the 2nd half every time the camera panned left and the wannabe Doric Dork commetator's laughable claim that he's unbiased (only to chastened every 5 mins by hi co-hab) I had no complaints with what the Smokies served up yesterday.

Rovers since Christmas have become bizarrely inconsistent, yesterday was a team that strangely looked low on confidence (us) against a well drilled team with very well executed game plan. Ok so the pitch was awful and the wind took every second lofted pass into the main stand but Arbroath adapted to conditions far far better than us and fully deserved the points. I reckon we could have played until 4.45 next Saturday and still not have registered a shot on target never mind a goal.

Don't know what's happened to McDonald (Kieran) but he has been fairly awful since he has returned. As a whole we have looked ropey but the loss of points at both Eastend and Gayfield are both heavily down to him, he sure doesn't look like last seasons PotY or even the player he was in September. Bene is another that has to look at himself in the mirror for yesterday, he was stinking. Elsewhere it was a bad day at the office all round except for the excellent Jamie McDonald, outfield nothing seemed to stick (except players feet in the mud) and the crisp passing we've been enjoying in the early months has evaporated and been replaced with clumsy mispasses gifting the opposition possession, chances, goals and points!

Yesterday we were without Vaughann, Spencer and Musonda but I feel we are missing Matthews the most.

Of the most recent Rovers lineups that lost games, I would only say JMac, Tumilty and maybe Kennedy should have assured spots.

Our thin back line leaves few options, but the idea of sitting JMac for a game or two and playing Musonda wide left is somewhat appealing. To be honest, Alloa is the best chance for a shuffle right now, so perhaps Tumilty/Mendy/Davo/Bene/Musonda in the back. If we want four across, sit Davo.

In the middle, Matthews seems to have been much more important than we realized. Put in King and Hendry plus Arnott playing an attacking mid role, with Tait ready to spell him. Then we perhaps see if King is any use to us.

Up top, Kennedy/Duku/Ugwu...with Abraham ready to spell Duku and Coulson ready to spell Kennedy if he’s ineffective. If we’ve sat Davo and gone to four in back, we can play duel CF’s and add in Smith or move Ugwu in and add Armstrong on the wing...but I think Armstrong needs a game off.

Yes, it’s a hell of a shuffle, but something has to be done to shake up the pattern that’s growing here.

Yes, Rossco has proved yet again, by his absence , what a vital player he is for The Rovers. Some of us (eg Scotty , Gary Parker and I ) have being saying that for some time but more, like Tx , are coming onboard and appreciate why he has been given a three year contract.
That's not to say that a fit LV wouldn't hugely boost our chances in many games. They bring very different qualities. Frankie Musonda , it seems to me, has benefitted to some extent
because we know the Bene/ Davo combo doesn't convince , over an extended period and Nando remains a human curate's egg ( although an immensely likeable lad whom we all wish could succeed at this level)
C'mon Raith, three home games next ,two in the evening, which will ,probably, define the trajectory for the rest of this season.

Have to say Mcglynn sounded like a politician in some of his responses. I dont think the fact we have just came up from League 1 is much of a defence of being out fought and outplayed by a part time team given our respective league positions and squad strength.

And if this was not the tactics why were we playing like that?

Indeed NR, why indeed?
Yes, JMcG sounded quite diplomatic for the first chunk of the post-match interview. But I got the distinct impression as the 'chat with Davie' went on that he was absolutely raging, and only just managing to hold it in. And no wonder, given what dross his players served up for him, and us, yesterday. Rockets up a***s aplenty this week in training, I'm thinking

Watching McGlynn's post match interview at Gayfield was a painful watch, by the end of it he looked to me as though he was struggling to keep a lid on things.

Big change from earlier in the season when everything was rosey, a time when it seemed that everyone was out to impress and all pulling in the same direction and critically with no concerns about contracts. I get the feeling that certain players are more concerned about a lucrative move than knuckling down and doing for the current employers.

Sure they will all talk the talk about complete professionalism but truth is certain players have in one way or another been off-it for some time. I think the refusal (I'm sure we are at least attempting to retain players) of players to commit is damaging not only their own game but likely affecting the dressing room too.
