That's tomorrow night's cup game cancelled if I've read that correctly.
Indeed all Scottish Cup games are on hold.

That was coming.............

I hope I am wrong but I cannot see things improving to any great extent in three weeks, not when you read/hear that the "experts" state that any of the current restrictions are NOT going to make a significant difference in the short term.

PCR testing now mandatory for the Championship to continue............ does RRFC currently test? If not why not? Just another cost with no revenues coming in. Have we seen the grants announced weeks ago that may go towards the cost of the tests?

Sorry for the rambling but all question running through my mind.

Scottish Cup matches will also be suspended, with any ties scheduled to be played prior to 1 February to be rescheduled

Can't understand why they're singling out lower league clubs for this when virtually all the breaches have come from higher league clubs and the Scottish national team (if the powers that be are going to castigate Celtic for going to Dubai and Dundee United over their team photo, why was there no condemnation of the Scotland players doing a drunken conga after qualifying in Serbia?).

Would it have anything to do with lower league (other than Partick, Falkirk, maybe Cove?) being part time and players possibly being in contact more through daily still allowable work, e.g. trades, retail? Also to alleviate testing costs? The £500,000 that we were allocated is a lot more than the £150,000 they got, or nothing for teams below League 2.
Has this grant been paid out yet?

Serious consideration should be given to cancelling The Scottish Cup this season.

Meantime, (an entirely separate point) The Stirling Albion non-fixture prevents us playing Dundee.

Surely makes sense to schedule the Dundee game for Saturday 30th January if there's no Scottish Cup that day.

Shocker of Celtic being absolute belters again and having yet another Covid breach. After Rangers being the clown club in Glasgow, the baton has very much been passed. The SPFL should absolutely go to town on them and make them pay for other clubs now mandatory weekly testing costs.

That makes sense, too. Twice in one thread? Shurely shome mishtake?

Should we expect a raft of positive cases of those that are asymptomatic once those championship clubs start testing who haven,t been

Personally, the whole of Scottish Football should have been suspended for 3 weeks not just below Championship level

Presumably there won’t be any talk from the Jambos about league reconstruction this time?

In the interests of fairness, they should be forced to take legal action against the authorities, as they won't feel its right to be promoted when a season is cut short due to a pandemic.

Shamelessly pinched from the League 1 thread on the other channel.
I know that we are going through a serious pandemic but given what went before, it still made me chuckle.😏

Shouldn’t ‘elite’ level footballers be fast tracked to receiving the vaccine?

I’m not saying steal the vaccines from 90year old women next in the line or that but there are millions of these vaccines kicking about now..

Premier league (England) clubs have already said they would donate all the money they spend on tests to the NHS if they get early vaccines.

Football, whether you like it or not is a keeping plenty folk sane through all this, I know I would be pulling my hair out without sport on TV right now so making sure it continues would be a good thing for the country as a whole.

Also, the government would be happy with top football players getting vaccinated as it might silence the online antivaxer keyboard warriors if world famous sporting stars were receiving it without complaint?
