Really big difference between where we were and where we are now!
More fuel to the Hearts and Thistle 'hard done by" file.🤫
Even Falkirk might be agitated.🤔

I'd fully expect Hearts show a bit of gratitude to those clubs who voted to' expel' them last spring.
If they'd managed to win more than 4 games out of 30 last season and survived, they would only be getting a loan from the government fund, whereas this grant will almost cover Naismith and Liam Boyce's wages for this season.

Oops! Embarassed
Didn't notice it was a loan to the top lot and not a grant.
All the more reason indeed SG for a bit of humble thanks as you rightly point out.🤭😉

Any idea when this welcome "windfall" becomes available? Presumably if it's needed, its need NOW!

More than ever given tonight's news regarding the regulations from Boxing Day onwards.
Where now for professional sports in Scotland?

I'd imagine it's pretty much 'as you were' as far as professional sport is concerned.

After all towns like Ayr and Motherwell were in tier four until last weekend.

Makes no difference to football apart from no crowds for Ross County and Inverness

Also Elgin City and of course some of the Highland and Lowland League clubs depending if they were in Tier 1 areas.

Sorry to be pedantic Vinnie but If there was an "Orkney Thistle" they wouldn't be allowed any spectators from Boxing Day onwards as the Islands are being hiked up from 1 to 3.☹️

No definite mention of professional sports in new lockdown regulations but asking people not to travel unless absolutely necessary across Scotland tightens things.
Might I be right in assuming that fitba' players will be considered as being allowed to work in a similar way as bin men, delivery drivers, etc., as long as strict protocols are in place?
Then again, I wouldn't be too surprised if the plug was pulled on this season if things don't improve by end of this month.
Tough times still ahead.
