On this day in 1992 Stevie Crawford scored his first senior goal for the Rovers to settle the Fife derby against his current employers.

Skonhoft's only appearance for Scottish top flight side Raith Rovers came in the league against Dunfermline Athletic, where he picked up a yellow card, fell over the ball, and took a foul throw

Aye!
We've had our fair share of numpties over the years, but he must be at least in the play offs, if not actually leading the race to the bottom.🥴👇🚽

The Govan Stand erupts!
Just where has the time gone?
That has to be a couple of generations ago who can only read and watch videos of these unbelievable 3-4 years in the first half of the 90's.
Happy days indeed.😊

Our Greatest Day.

What an atmosphere, what a score and what brilliant penalties and the SAVE!!!

All Fabulous.

Our coach was from the Albert Tavern in Freuchie. Our coach driver got lost !!! and we arrived a bit late at Ibrox, but we all managed to get into our seats.

The fans were singing, so were the oppositions fans, the noise was deafening and I remember joining in the chants AND I couldn't hear my own voice. It was the greatest atmosphere EVER.

This! ^^^ Matt doesn't seem to be involved in the FFP anymore and good for him too as it's turned into a disgrace of a local paper these days, it's basically become the Fife Leader but instead of being free it's £1+.

My money is on any of this weeks gaffs being down to Paul McCabe or Alan Crow's word craft, so take your pick either a Jambo or an Ice Hockey fan neither of which with the interest, will nor ability to stir up the Rovers support in the manner of their predecessors ie Elder, Holmes or the man who was FFP Sports writer back in 1994 John Greechan, a guy who is now Chief Sports Writer with the Scottish Daily Mail, none of the current hacks could sharpen his pencil!

I'll get off my soapbox now.

It'd be owned then by the fella that Robbie bought it from, what was his name again Tam?
I'm sure I met him in the pub just over a year ago (on our way home from losing at Balmoor)

Hi Scotty, It was owned by Ronnie Dick, a lovely guy and always had great fun in the bar. I am sure he had the Cycle Tav in Muchty at one time.

Ronnie hired the coach and bought the block of tickets and everyone then paid Ronnie when you booked your seat. Great organiser.

If you look at the date it says 2019. It must just be last years feature repeated just because it's easy for them and Matt Elder being away.

On this day states we demolished the Pars 6-0 at East End Park on 1st January 1982.
What chances of that being repeated tomorrow?
PS. I'm off to check the 'Bible' as I seem to remember it being on 1st January 1983.
We were in Copenhagen for New Year at my sister in law's and distinctly remember picking up a newspaper at the station before heading back to Dortmund, seeing the score and taking off like a maddy along the platform, hollering and whooping with the paper flapping in the air.
The looks I got! And that was just from the sister in law, her partner, the bairn and the home secretary!😁

ETA It was indeed January 1st 1983.
Apologies for the pedantry but the above is still fresh in my mind after nearly 40 years, especially now, as there's only me and "the bairn" still hingin' aboot.
