Hey, RNF, I'm sure you don't look anything like 104 years old.
And if Frankie M has that same birthday, so much for Rovers putting the accent on youth Wink

Another player coming up from the lower English leagues. We must be working with a new agent/scout.

Another versatile defender, who seems able to do so much more than just foot-tennis!

Ok so I appreciate his show reel on youtube was playing against teams of a pretty poor standard but he looked as if he was totally cruising to be honest. Good feet, strong and physical, can spot and make a pass. With only 47 games in the past 5 years I can only assume his skills were honed in age group games down South. Be interesting to see how he copes with some of the experienced strikers in this league. Looks a prospect though.

He certainly looks ok from the you tube footage. Personally, after McGlynn telling us that Mendy was going to be the next Marvin Andrews on, i'll wait until the serious stuff starts in October before forming an opinion on Frankie & Manny. We are stepping up a level, the manager needs to get it right.

I hadn't expected such extended footage of Frankie on You Tube. It's probably even more difficult to judge a defender than an attacker from highlights, but unless Nando has come on loads at Kelty Hearts, I have the impression that Frankie will be ahead of Nando in the first
games pecking order, although I assume the whole squad will get an early run-out.
I don't know if there will be Raith TV cover of pre-season friendlies for Season Ticket Holders (?)
but ,if there is, I won't be making last season's mistake of judging any of the new guys until the
competitive football starts!

Many have seen the Betfred Cup as just a warm up in previous seasons - maybe the players too, as we've fared terribly. I get it in a way and in a way it has to be too, but this season, not only will it overlap with the league, but with the season truncated and Jambo blood-spitters boycotting us - if we really give it a go and do go through this time, we could potentially hit a real jackpot - a draw v one of Old Firm etc.

If we get Hearts and Inverness at home, our travelling, for the group stage would be no more than 7 miles each for East Fife and Cowden. That would also make it a very winnable group for us this time - and no Cove Rangers either! Wink Players - please remember what happened this summer - they wanted you in the third tier - and do not just lie down and let the Jambos win this group!

Jambos fans might go into convulsions if they didn't progress and Ms Budge would be advised to get a medical checkup before attending games!
"Warning - risk of total unfairness ahead!" Smile Wink

So, Frankie is reaching game fitness, but not likely to start for a week or two...when he does, who (if anyone) does he replace?

We'll go to three at the back, and he'll fit in there as a regular starter, always assuming that Bene and Davo both play well, stay out of trouble and keep their places (big assumptions, I know).

That means he'd be replacing one of our wide midfielders, Ross or Armstrong.

Whichever way you look at it, if our squad stays healthy, there are going to be a number of (good) challenges to fit the best team together from the embarrassment of riches at our disposal.

Or does that all sound a touch too optimistic?
