The Bates saga wasnt a deal, it was a give away! What length of contract has Bowie signed?

I too would doubt he'd be loaned back immediately, much will depend on how Ziggy settles in a Craven Cottage and how fast he develops. If he struggles with settling in and doesn't develop too quickly I wouldn't be too surprised to see him loaned back to us around January, if he develops quickly but doesn't settle Fullam may look to send him to an SPL team.

If he settles in well and makes decent progress he will either be kept at Fulham or loaned out to a EFL1 side.

Hope the lad settles quickly and gets into the Fulham first team (squad) within the next year and becomes one of the top players in the next few years.
Can only wish the guy all the very best.

Fine farewell interview with Ziggy by Raith TV. He's matured so quickly on and off the park.
Wish him all the luck in the world for a great career.

As he his now signed by them. Is there a chance that we have a clause that should they get promoted to top league we are due another payment? That would be good.

Think it would be fair to say that Bowie is a long way off 1st team football at Fulham. I would expect him to be given a few months to settle in then possibly sent out on loan to a non league side down there. All about development, plenty time on his side!

That would be some negotiating team! To get a clause included to reward the club from which they've signed a 17-year-old, whiose contract starts after the league season has ended, and whose first day of training (with non-first team squad members, of course) coincides with the promotion play-offs....

If you think anything close to that is achievable, then I'd be suspecting that you've been advising Ann Budge on the side this past few months.

If it was suggested in the negotiations that if Fulham gain promotion and the 60m that goes with it then we get another 50k I'm sure that wouldn't have been a stumbling block.

Always a possibility I suppose but after listening again to the Rise of Kieron Bowie Interview I think all our eggs are pretty much in the how well Ziggy does aposed to how well Fulham FC do. The gaffer mentions add-ons relating to appearances at Championship level and those being enhanced at Premier League level, I'm sure there was mention of payment on international recognition too. Mind you although there was no mention of a bonus if Fulham go up but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist.

I imagine any such clause would only be valid after the contract has taken affect. i.e. not in this season given he was supposed to join for the start of 20-21 season. Performance bonuses based on appearances and international recognition are most likely.

From Ziggy's point-of-view it would be more prestigious for Fulham to be in the Premier League but from Raith's perspective
,purely re shorter term financial gain ,wouldn't he have a much better chance of appearing in the first team in the second
tier (and even that may be some way off, unless he continues to improve at a very fast rate).
Whatever, it would be just great to see him playing in the Premier League and for Scotland ,one day, and all the better if The
Rovers benefit financially too (which might be a first ?)
