Poor fee but a good move, he'll learn a lot at Fulham. Does mean he has to live in London though, thats not great.

I think it is a good fee. Hes a young lad playing in the 3rd tier of scottish football and has played less than 40 senior games. Granted he has potential and im sure time will tell. Hopefully he has signed for a few years and we have a good sell on clause attached.

If that is up front it is a tremendous fee, I just hope that doesn't include future payments.

It would be nice if the board were to actually tell the truth to us, the financial supporters of the club, exactly what the club are getting and how it is to be paid.
In the past the boards view was THEY FINANCE THE-CLUB AND THE INS AND OUTS ARE OF NO CONCERN TO SUPPORTERS........WRONG..... no supporters = NO CLUB!!
Just make it public......is it REALLY too much to ask?
No more.....oh we got 100k, when it was really, we saved 100k in wages. Ever such a slight difference 🙄......ie, the “ the Livy 3” 😡

I disagree, although it’s great to think we got a good lot of cash for a player all it does is alerts other teams to exactly how much you got and makes them greedy when you come enquire about one of their players you are interested in.
Different if you are a high roller and have plenty of money but we don’t and have to keep things as quiet as we can.
In the long run we find out anyway when the balance sheet and Acconts are presented at the AGM.

Totally agree with this. Blabbing the details just gives signals to all our rivals, to all potential replacement signings, to all potential buyers of other stars (like Dylan Tait), about where we stand financially. And to what benefit? None.

And, as Scotty says, the info will become public knowledge in due course. To argue that fans 'deserve to know' just because we pay to watch the team and support the club is facile, to say the least.

Does that mean we let everyone know we are 1.4m in dept so they give us players for nothing that we otherwise would have needed to buy?

I think £150,000 is a little low but for a guy of that age/experience there is no guarantee he will keep progressing at same rate...was going to call it a ‘gamble’ for Fulham but a club that has spent £150m in last two years on players and has a multi billionaire owner, it’s a piss in the ocean!

Just hope we have a sell on clause, the way the English market is, imagine Bowie ends up being a star and moves to one of the big clubs down there for millions and we get none of it!

On your first point, no, of course not - publishing our accounts is a legal requirement.

But on your second point, I would say that there IS a case for our board to give out a little information, at least confirming a sell-on clause if not in detail then at least in principle. If/when that next move happens, the assumption from our rivals anyway would be that such a clause exists and that we were better off financially as a result.

So, as part of a "don't worry, we have all the bases covered" kinda message, the board could include something about those longer term aspects whenever the deal is officially announced.

There could be a confidentiality clause in the deal. The sell-on part would be massive. A million (if he were sold on) would all but clear our debt. If the said figure is correct and there is a sell-on clause, that wouldn't be too bad a deal, considering that we have him for the rest of the season.

So the courier retweet that appeared on the Fulham twitter feed has disappeared, there is no mention on the official site of either club.

Disagree.
I'm no great fan of boards past, but this one ain't as bad as some. And to tarnish the current incumbents by comparing their position to past failures in communication like the Livi three or others we could all mention is unfair.
On the current transfer, or not, or delayed or whatever, the board is quite correct to keep quiet about any details, in my opinion, so as to protect their position with other transfer dealings in or out

Can't find anything on Fulham web (or anything else). No mention of this "deal" anywhere other than on this forum.

Just a few mentions on this forum, nothing we don't already know.

Its possible that because its a delayed deal, there is no pressure to have it completed before the deadline.

yes I agree, the club don't like to put out any information until all paper work is signed and conformation sent back.

My question would be tho, since it is a delayed transfer and paper work would be a nightmare if it was to go through now then are they waiting until the summer to officially announce it? It wont be until the summer that all paper work has been signed and conformation sent back.
