Quigley apparently. (ETA, I've no idea where I got that name from. Kelty Twitter doesn't say)

Anyhow.

55. GOAL!!! Nando backheels to Fash who slots home the equaliser!

Oh James.

Latest, Stirling U 1-3 Kelty.

Couldn’t shoehorn it into “The Chain” thread, but it fits OK here...if a bit tongue in cheek and really early for it...

So I noodled around the Kelty Hearts website...seems they had just lost two starting defenders, and had also just signed Tam Scobbie as a defender, so Nando slots right in as a starter. Add Tam as a mentor, in addition to learning from SAndo, this is looking like a beautiful move by JMcG!

Was “solid” at the back last night and according to reports he set up a goal with a back heel and got man of the match. Great start for the lad

Checked in on the Kelty thread. Mendy is their starting right back, in a back four. Has all the physical attributes and seems pretty good in the air, however he really shows a need to play games. Has had a couple of very nice appearances and seems to be helping them nicely, and hopeful developing. I would be very surprised if his loan didn’t get extended for the remainder of the season if he keeps starting, because it sounds like this is exactly what he needs.

Actually, the respondents to my question indicated he was a pretty impressive, physical player...good in the air, but needing playing time and experience. Since that’s all of two levels down, and League One isn’t exactly international level play, sounds like he’s probably developing nicely.

Laughing Laughing Did he say something to the referee - or was it just the tone that he said it in? Wink
