I suppose it is a decent signing assuming he has done some of his badges, clearly wont be No1 choice but his experience will push on any young keepers we get in. On the plus side, it's only part time so shouldn't be costing us too much.
Sorry, but glass half empty on this one. _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

I don’t see why he shouldn’t be a contender for no. 1 choice. He may not be quite as agile as he was, but there have been a number of decent keepers of his age and older. He is employment is sports based so will play a part in his fitness. He has a lot of experience, knows the game and if he can bring some stability to the defence in front of him, then he will be worth his place in the team.
Good signing and other positive and encouraging step! _________________ He's no' hairy mary he's the Rovers' little fairy!

A certain Ronnie Simpson springs to mind, Buffon still playing at 41 and a few others too.
And he has to be better than the guff we've had recent seasons |

No problem with Mcgurn coming in.
Adds experience and has a real affinity with the club. Doubt he will be number 1, but I would rather have him sitting on the bench as cover than say Mcguff or even Lyness.
I dare say Mcglynn is looking to add the right personalities to the squad also. |

A lot of league two fans were saying he was the best keeper in their league last season and Cowdenbeath fans seem gutted he's away.
He's the same age as Hamish and Narey when they joined.
An experienced goalkeeper who can coach is a sensible use of our resources. _________________ Dougie Hill

It is reported he is a qualified SFA goalkeeping coach. With that description, it is likely he is Scottish FA Goalkeeping Level Three qualified, which is one step below UEFA/SFA "B" Licence. |

Dino Zoff lives on!😄
Albeit Central Park isnae as illustrious as the Stadio Delle Alpe!😊
For those of a younger age just look it up.😉 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Zoff for us oldies - Buffon for the young anes.
Still haven't seen either of them make a save in the class of Bayne's header at East End or the treble at home to Ayr. _________________ Dougie Hill

Elgin 5-2 Cowdenbeath
Craig Easton sent off from the bench for remonstrating with Gavin Price who was out of his technical area at the time. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

A superb servant to the club; a lovely guy, and an example to all the younger players. Thanks, Davie, and all the very best for the future. |
