Some of you may remember John Garrie who was a lifelong Rovers fan from Kinghorn. He left to live in New Zealand and sadly died out there a few years ago. His son, who was brought up going to Rovers games (as were the two daughters) was back in Scotland and we attended the cup match v queens Park together. he is still a Rovers fan at heart but out there has become a keen supporter of Wellington Phoenix FC the only professional team in NZ and they play in the Australian League. You can imagine their travel bills for away games! Robert told me about this scheme they have to try to boost attendances and it appears to work at least to an extent. Is this an idea that could be explored and adapted to work for RRFC?
