Ray McKinnon has packed his trunk and said goodbye to the Morton and off he went with a trumpety trump all the way to Falkirk.More faces than fu Manchu does this geyser have.

Obviously Falkirk are able to offer higher wages than Morton.
Money is the motivation for Mackinnon to move.
Loyalty or thanks for getting me back into football is just not on his, or (possibly to be fair) any other manager's radar.
Still has mair faces than 'the toon knock' for a' that! Mad

That’ll be Barry Smith away to Morton. “He’s always been a fan and we can’t stand in the boys way” said a delighted Simm

Seems a strange decision....2 or 3 managers already knocked it back due to it being a poisoned chalice at moment. Falkirk are bottom...in decline...terrible squad....transfer window shut... Morton sitting second i think..going well and he just put together his team over the summer... surely he cant be short of a few bob that earning a few quid more is worth all that....

Morton must be raging...

When I read the statement from the Morton Chairman, I can’t help but notice so many similarities to when he left us.

Yes, he’s probably entitled to go and get more money but it’s the way he goes about it. He was clearly talking to Falkirk long before they asked permission to speak with him. Just like he was clearly talking to United long before they got in contact with us. He’s a snake. Morton fans will now need to be prepared to lose their best players in either January or the summer (another Toshney scenario!)

We have our frustrations about Barry Smith but we would have been in a much worse position had we taken Ray the snake back in the summer, which quite a number of supporters wanted.

I hope he struggles there and is sacked by January. Will he learn his lesson...not a chance!

Meh! I hope we can wave to the snake in the passing, as the clubs go opposite directions at the end of the season.

As the guy lives just north of Dundee, maybe it's simply down to travel.

I had actually made up my mind to include McKinnon in my shoogly peg seven, purely down to him getting fed up of the schlep to Greenock and back five times per week. But then I forgot when it came to listing the dodgy managers at the end of July.

Falkirk is a dawdle by comparison - he's bound to last absolutely months there!

He is going to get it so tight tomorrow down at Greenock.

Probably similar to McLean when he came to Starks Park with Dundee United.
Twaddle's 87th minute winner was one of the very few highlights that season.
The only thing that could have topped it would have been if the South Stand had been finished and we'd had a better chance to goad him at the end.

Guilty as charged for illegal approach.
Well, maybe not him directly, but certainly the Bairns are.
Trying to deny it by saying " extremely surprised and disappointed" in the outcome.

Ladbrokes Championship

SPFL Disciplinary Hearing

Statement issued by the SPFL...

An SPFL Board Sub-Committee, chaired by an experienced independent solicitor, has determined that Falkirk Football Club breached and/or failed to comply with SPFL Rules D9 and D10 in relation to the employment of its current football management team.

A further hearing will now be arranged for the Sub-Committee to consider what sanction, if any, should be applied.

Falkirk hit with a 60 grand fine (20 grand suspended) for breaching rules in tapping up McKinnon.
Tasty.
