I agree with you biggles but just wanted to keep folk updated with how things are and also in the hope that folk from the club would come along so as not to lose out on funds.I have done everything possible to publicise the show including emailing folk at the club, fans groups and even craig Easton.I have whats apped everyone in my contact list, sent info to forth one and put it on their diary for gigs etc,put posters up around starks and certain places in Kirkcaldy. The press is meant to put something in the paper this week but not sure what yet as I haven't heard anything much about it.I emailed talksport but had no reply, mike from styx was meant to speak to kingdom fm,scott agnew [comedian] put a tweet out about it.The show has been in the programme, mentioned at games,in rovers digest and on raith tv.
I did say ticket sales were slow but if you read what else I mentioned was I was hopeful it would pick up in the coming weeks.I have done everything possible and not sure what else can do without help from others. We shall see. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

I think the idea is a good one but the issue for me is the acts
Kirkcaldy and the surrounding area gets enough 'big name' comedians frequently that this is unlikely to attract the non-rover supporting / casual comedy fan |

I am looking for some sponsors so if anyone is interested send me a pm.There is 2 prices which are .........
£150 which gives the sponsors 4 tickets,a food platter, preferred seats,a free drink on arrival and advertising in the show programme. They will also get free advertisement on the screens at styx for 3 months.
£200 gives them 6 tickets, preferred seats,a food platter,a free drink on arrival and advertising in the shows programme.
They will also get a fee advert on the screens at styx for 3 months.
There will be a free bus running from glenrothes for anyone going along which have to be booked through me or mike keddie at styx.leaving times to be confirmed but the bus will be leaving from the town centre but that's to be confirmed aswell.
Thanks for the feedback good or bad as its appreciated.I try and all I ask is for some help from others at times.Anyway thanks again and lets all look forward to a good show. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

With the club out with there cap in hand, looking for money to stick in the bank you would think they would show some interest in backing this fundraiser more.
If they were to put there weight behind it, more funds could be make for the club and charities involved. Plus a good nights entertainment for all who attend. Everyones a winner.
Good luck with the event. Ive here'd there is some special raffle prises for the nights event already ,however more donations are required _________________ Only on fan talk can supporters find a negative in a 5-0 win. 🤔 |

Maybe you missed this RRFC website post that went up - twice - in the weeks since the event was announced: http://www.raithrovers.net/33855/stand-up-for-raith.htm
... or the twice - posted Facebook post on the clubs page.
Or the tweets from RRFC, or the club's Instagram posts.
Posters were also put up in the Ticket office window and in the Raith Suite.
Craig Easton also tweeted details on the u20s social media channels.
RaithTV mentioned it in commentary during recent match broadcasts, and it appeared in the Rovers Digest.
It's been in the Events Calendar on the club website for a while: http://www.raithrovers.net/events
Apart from that, you're right - the club could have done so much more to promote this event... |

Ive been advertising the event through various media channels as well Niall, as well as putting up posters in areas i frequent along with donations and such like.
Perhaps you have taken this the wrong way. I am aware of whats been done so far.
What i was trying to get at is, it would be nice to see a similar kind of backing to all events organised by Fans Groups. Like that that of The Hall of Fame nights and the european team night enjoy.
I enjoyed seeing the players doing some P.R with the book reading at the school. Its things like this that will help create revenue for the club indirectly and something the club needs to work so much harder at if they want to continue playing the trumpet of being a community club.
Now i fully understand that a hell of amount of work is done voluntarily. People sacrificing large chunks of there personal time to keep the club going. However throughout my 33 years of being a fan, and dipping my hand into my pocket, along with doing all i can for the club not much thanks comes back from it. It must be hugely frustrating for others who have done even more.
Some times all it would take would be a bit of team building and co-odonating events to push things forward. I get a bit fed up of hearing were skint give us money. _________________ Only on fan talk can supporters find a negative in a 5-0 win. 🤔 |

Hi all,
I don't know much about fundraising but like other supporters I too have reached deep into my pockets when the club ask, yes I do moan about it but I think it's justified as the money doesn't seem to be well spent looking from the outside in.
Would it not be possible to get some advice or team up with others who do the fundraising to get more publicity or just a little advice? _________________ Let's get right behind the Rovers!... |

I personally think Quinny should fundraise directly for the club under the clubs’ name, Guy is a legend in the sphere. Whether the people in question like it or not and rightly or wrongly, Fife’s Finest have a bad reputation with large percentage of our OWN fan base, this is bound to spread to outwith it and into community and further afield, this surely does no favours when it comes to these things and I think fundraisers would be more successful if it were organised by ‘Gavin Quinn, in association with Raith Rovers Football Club’ as opposed to ’Quinny, Fife’s Finest’
I’m aware FF’s benefit financially from these things, not suggesting Quinny jumps ship, just works under the clubs name on one or two of the bigger events to see if it is better received |

Can you elaborate on Fifes Finest benefiting financially from the fundraising?
Are you saying they take a slice of the pie so to speak & if so what's it used for? _________________ Let's get right behind the Rovers!... |

Yes - I too would be very interested to see any evidence you have to back up that statement.
And, when you can't come up with any back-up, then I'd hope you'll make a full retraction. |

I want to make this clear that in no way do I or fifes finest make anything out of ay fundraising that I do.So whoever has given you this info is so WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS.I organise these events and some where along the line I get help to run them but I don't get a penny and neither does fifes finest. So I hope you are going to apologise starks barmy.Fridays event profit will be split evenly 3 ways between RAITH ROVERS F.C,RAITH ROVERS DEVELOPEMENT SQUAD and RAITH ROVERS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION.Rock the rovers in august profit wil be split evenly between RAITH ROVERS FC and 5 CHARITIES that I have spoken to and are all local. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE
