Scottish Football players could learn a lot from Andy Murray and his dedication to long practice days, supreme physical fitness, punishing training regime and just sheer guts and determination. Rather than 2 hours of training and then down the golf club/bookies/pub/nandos/starbucks* for rest of the day
* delete as appropriate
If our football players put as many hours in as Andy Murray and were as dedicated to their sport as he is, we would not be in such a mess as a footballing nation.
Hope he wins an Olympic Gold now in either the singles or doubles...and lifts the last slam of the season. |

If you read Alex Ferguson's comment on Ronaldo they are quite similar in the training and dedication stakes. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Vaughan 7, Stanton 6, Akio 3, Brown 3, Dick 3, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2 ,McGill 2,OG 2, Frederiksen 1, Lang 1, Nolan 1, |

What a game - and Del Potro was magnificent too - not the best from Andy but the fact they are playing hard games in quick succession means a lot of errors and exciting final - and it was - he will always be a Sir Andy to me no matter what - a great Scot _________________ Here Wee go again |

And in style, well done to Andy Murray, accepted his win with his usual aplomb and well done to him giving Djokovic the credit he deserves for his achievements. Andy Murray is a credit to Scotland and the UK for his amazing success in tennis |
