I doubt it. Most non rovers fans are there for the music and a bevy on a Sunday! |

The whole first team have training and match de-brief on a Sunday after Saturday's game at our new training base in Glenrothes Only one person directly associated with the club made an effort to be there for 2 hours .none of the coaches turned up , or players . What kind of a message dose that give to the hard working fans groups and supporters . We effectively pay there wages , yet when it comes to a fundraiser on behalf of the club and local charity's they can't be bothered to turn up ..
Thanks , no wonder support for the club and attendance is poor , it's a 2 way street . _________________ Only on fan talk can supporters find a negative in a 5-0 win. 🤔 |

I started giving money to charities because i knew the non rovers fans wouldnt come on a regular basis. The club however gets the bulk of the money raised and if that isnt a reason to come along if you are a rovers fan or member of staff at the club then i dont know what is.I am not for one minute saying that it was just rovers fans who didnt turn up as i know of quite a few non rovers fans who werent there. We have had this argument before but if someone wants to organise it next year as a fundraiser solely for raith then contact me.I am the biggest diehard of the club and would do anything for them as folk know.I will however gladly hand over all my contacts for the bands/solo`s,sponsors,staff at kittys, ffp publicity etc etc so it can be organised solely for the club. What i will say romario is that the feedback i get from every single charity this gig has supported over the years is fantastic.
This gig has given the club a great name out there because some of them cant believe football fans or even a small football club would think about raising money for them.I spoke to a man on sunday from rett syndrome, scotland who came to kittys to see me on the way to visiting family in st.andrews and st.monans.Him and his wife had driven from glasgow and took a detour to kirkcaldy to see me and we spoke for about 20 mins about the gig and his charity.
He couldnt thank me enough even though i dont do it for the thanks i do it for the charities and my club.He praised everyone involved and would be coming along to the presentation next month. He is just one of many who have did this and i also have the letters to prove it which will be put on show next year at the gig if it goes ahead. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

Great stuff SoW. I just can't understand why the club don't get behind it more. We all hear the term community club banded about but this is probably the biggest club themed eventin the community and it receives little official backing. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Why not ask the club for a response as to why there wasn't any representation?
I'm sure one of the directors would be willing to give the club's viewpoint on their non-involvement. Then the reasons can be addressed for next time. |

I have gave the club a bit of stick lately which i feel is justified but i would like to put it on record a thank you to tom phillips who if no one knows is a raith director. He has went out his way to organise for my charities to get into the falkirk game today where we will hand over their cheques for £375 to each of them.He has also offered to collect a cheque of £1000 for the clubs youth developement and this was all raised at this years gig.THANKS TOM _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

Welldone mate for all the work you have put in to pull this together . Wish I could be there tomorrow to see you hand over the checks .
From a personal point of view I was glad to be a sponsor and will do the same next year for the same band if they come .
Great touch putting the cash to the youth development mate , it all helps building for the future .
Well done mate and fifes finest
The club better pull its weight for next years one . _________________ Only on fan talk can supporters find a negative in a 5-0 win. 🤔 |
